The gig was AM-A-ZING! I loved it! :boing: :boing:

I converted my friend. :aah: She's obsessed now. :roftl:

I'll only do a proper report tomorrow though. Believe it or not I have to still go to school tomorrow, so I'm going to bed. :naughty:

Not the best Mika show I've ever seen due to technical hitches, a seemingly under-rehearsed My Interpretation, too many BGs and LGs (who hadn't finished crossing the stage before the song started), not enough balloons, and of course a London audience... who did eventually come to life for Love Today, including the balcony people.

Didn't feel like Mika was as on-form and on-fire as he was at some of the other gigs - but he worked really hard and I think everyone was won over. Perhaps he read my rude comments too cos he introduced the band properly! :thumb_yello:

Having opted not to queue for hours for this one, got there at door-opening time only to find half the doors were not in use so there was still a massive queue snaking back and forth around barriers and then all down the side of the building - I'm sure half the people hadn't even got in the building before Erik started. But if Ian McKellen can queue so can I, I guess! I still got a reasonable spot though, pretty near the front and a bit to the side.

Other MFCers probably waited around afterwards so theie reports will be later. I don't really do hanging round!

foxybacon Holy ****. I was the last in line doing the zombies, and Mika grabbed my arm and took me to the front of the stage to dance w him!

Hilarious - the LGs & Bgs were doing a death stomp across the stage to a funereal beat - very well done - but they had 15 of them, so the last few ran out of stomping music - Mika was singing the intro to love today and being free with the rhythm, which made stomping difficult :roftl: - and the tune kicked off before the BGs had finished, so he grabbed Sariflor ( who was last BG)and she was stuck like a lemon having to improvise :roftl::roftl::roftl:

I'm home and tired

There was a late M&G - quarter past 12 - but he did stop to sign things for everyone who waited and it was well organised and relaxed

Sir Ian Mckellen was there too

Brilliant show - some technical problems apparently, but I didn't notice

Didn't have a great view - third row, with tall people in front and people with big hats

too tired to do detail Sorry

i'm totally knackered but happy. :biggrin2: greetings also from statue_of_liberty, we persuaded her to go also to the gig today instead just tomorrow and she didn't regret the decision. :bleh: she'll write her report later this week.

like i wrote on twitter, i was a big girl - if you see pix, the one with the green corset and pink head. there were 11 BGs and 4 LGs, mrs p was sooo lovely, she made sure everyone who applied could do it, they adjusted the costumes a bit so they'd fit us "small big girls". :biggrin2:

all those backstage preparations were a fantastic experience, and we even got to see parts of the soundcheck. the bits on stage went by so fast that i hardly can remember anything. jimmy kneeled in front of me, and later tried to see who was under the mask but no idea whether he recognized me. :naughty:

afterwards we quickly got to take a pic with mika (in 2 groups cause we were so many), but unfortunately ours was taken with the camera from a girl who won't come online until thursday. :aah: didn't really get to talk with him, it was rather a general "thank you" saying from both sides.

we got to watch the gig til dr john, i obviously wasnt at the front but well i can't agree with enigma, i thought mika indeed WAS on fire (statue_of_liberty thinks the same, and she was at the front. :bleh:), it felt like a fantastic gig to me, although of course it was totally different to watch it from the back, in this uncomfortable corset. :naughty:

he did my interpretation, i heard from someone that it was just because david's keyboards didn't work, so they had to improvise. a few things went wrong and from what M said at the m+g, he wasn't happy at all with that. well, i didn't notice from the back that anything went wrong, to me it definitely was a fantastic gig (the part i saw :naughty:). and a fantastic experience (all the rest. :bleh:)

off to bed now, need to be halfway awake tomorrow.
