francoise
Might be a good idea to hold off on that, til we know what the family are comfortable with. Although I fully understand it would be with the best of intentions, I think it would be wise to hold on for a while before arranging any kind of show of support to be delivered to the Pennimans. For the moment we need to fully respect their wish for privacy and to be left alone, and await more news before taking any kind of action of that sort. Agree with you both. Wait for more news - and good news I hope - is definitely a good thing And we have to respect their willing of privacy I'm sure they already know that we're all thinking about them

Lee-Ann
I feel, like I just woke up in a nightmare. I read a retweet on Twitter and couldn't believe what's written in the linked BBC article. No words for that. I can' imagine, how the family must feel now. Simply horrible. Some of us had met her, we "know" Mika, his family members...it is horrible when you hear that things like that happen to strangers, but even more horrible when you know the persons concerned. My best whishes go out to Paloma, Mika and the whole family and friends.

We can support them silently, by good thoughts and prayers (like we already do).

Once we know she is doing much better, which God willing she will be very soon, then that is a different story. As of now I agree they need their privacy. Regardless, Mika knows his MFC family is right here beside him filled with prayer and best wishes.
dcdeb
Might be a good idea to hold off on that, til we know what the family are comfortable with. I think they've actually said what they're comfortable with already by issuing the statement that they have on Mikasounds, FB, etc. and I hope everyone respects their desire to deal with this situation out of the public spotlight. When I first saw the story last night, I debated whether to even post it here, but I figured since it was in the Sun it would be all over the press and be posted here sooner or later. But that doesn't mean I condone prying any further into the matter, or even intruding into the family's privacy by sending something to them. As others have said, I'm sure Mika and his family are aware of the massive outpouring of love and support coming from MFC and all of his fans. We just need to give them their space.
