I opted to stand in the balcony tonight because I wasn't able to queue. Then met with the rest of MFC after the show! It was great to finally hang out and talk to you guys, even though it was just for a little bit! I wish I were more social at the queue yesterday! But thats what the next NYC concert is for! Hope you all enjoy nomming on your pizzas! I'm going to try to catch some zzzzzzs now! And safe trips home for everyone!! Love, the only New Yorker of the group who ended up going home early. Would you believe me if I told you that it was just as good as last night? Even BETTER than last night? Well, in some ways it was! Mika was so happy about getting his ass to #1 on iTunes, he just about exploded with jubilation. I couldn't take too many videos because, once again, we ended up in the front row, and Mika was looking right at us, asking us to sing and, well, it would have been rude NOT to! I thought I recorded a better version of Stardust, but as I was recording, Mika looked at me and extended the microphone toward me and I just thought So I turned the camera off and sang. Sorry guys. Set list was the same as last night -- alas, no Overrated or Step with Me as he had hinted at the night before. But everything else was fantastic so how can you quibble? I'll try to get a few photos up and maybe one video, we'll see how long I can go before the adrenalin runs out. Fuller reports on both night to come once I get back home tomorrow... unless I decide to go to Chicago on Thursday. Tonight was phemoneal. . mika actually came out and said "I am in a great mood" - basically, you're in for it tonight. AND IT WAS AMAZING. So much eye contact, jumping, dancing ... and the polka dot choir/band were right there too I'm delirious and have a midterm in 7 hours so that's all for now, but i'll try and collect everyting in a proper report soon!! It still hasn't fully processed in my brain of finally seeing MIKA on stage, live, and still being the same wonderful, charismatic, and talented musician that I fell in love with in the beginning 3 years ago. Everyone, the band, and of course MIKA all had a wonderful night and I am never forgetting his performance. All these pics are amazing! It sucked that he didn't get to do any autograph signing or greet his fans. I had brought my huge poster and my tofu doll for a chance for him to sign :C Really? He did not come out to where everyone was waiting at the front doors? Did you stay until he left the venue? That is very unlike him under the circumstances so I'm surprised if no one waiting managed to even say hi to him. Say what?!?????? I assume there's a video? Sorry I don't think many of us got videos so you're probably going to have to rely on random YouTube vids. I tweeted a few phone cam pics but even that was difficult because as Deb said he was so close and was interacting so much it seems ridiculous to try to be snapping pics or video instead of responding back. I mean obviously there are times when he goes off and isn't so close but it's a weird paradox that when he is close enough to get a great photo or intimate video you don't want to have your camera in the way. Suzy's husband was up in the balcony with an SLR and a zoom lens so I'm sure he got some fantastic pics as he did in Montreal and Suzy will probably post later today or tomorrow. Anyway it really was even better than the first gig, as phenomenal as the first gig was! The day was perfect from start to finish and Mika was in wonderful spirits. He looked positively blissful at times, dancing away that seemed as much like he was just having fun dancing in a club as performing for others. We congratulated him on the iTunes charting of the album and he seemed so chuffed to stick it to the record company et al who weren't expecting things to go so well.
