Eliminando la storica divisione in categorie X Factor non solo accoglie il cambiamento, ma vuole farsene portabandiera: in un mondo che non ha più bisogno di fare distinzioni di genere o di età, per noi talento è un sostantivo neutro. A tutti i concorrenti che saremo orgogliosi di accogliere sul palco chiederemo di portare con sé l’unica cosa che davvero gli occorre: il loro personale, unico “X Factor”». Gabriele Immirzi,CEO di Fremantle, dichiara: «Confermare questa giuria, che è una delle migliori di sempre, è già un primo traguardo di XF2021. Emma, Manuelito, Manuel e Mika continueranno a portare competenza e passione nel programma, e potranno esprimerle senza essere prigionieri dei confini delle categorie tradizionali. Siamo infatti il primo X Factor al mondo a intervenire su uno storico elemento di formato che ha sempre caratterizzato il programma, ma che oggi, nel 2021, d’accordo con Syco Entertainment, sentiamo lontano dalla realtà di tutti i giorni, soprattutto per le generazioni che a X Factor partecipano. Vogliamo assistere alla crescita di talenti musicali senza etichette e distinzioni, che non siano il valore e la qualità artistica dei loro progetti». Emma dichiara: «Sono davvero molto felice di ricominciare una nuova avventura con tutta la famiglia di X Factor! Non vedo l’ora di riabbracciare i miei colleghi giudici e di parlare di musica fino allo sfinimento come l’anno scorso. E poi sono curiosissima di affrontare questa nuova sfida senza le barriere dei generi. Per questo ringrazio tutti gli autori che sono riusciti a portare a casa questa bella scommessa. Saremo i primi nel mondo a farlo, è giusto così: basta limiti, basta ghettizzarsi, soprattutto nell’arte, quando si è veramente liberi si vivono emozioni ed esperienze molto più profonde, a parer mio». Hell Raton dichiara: «Il mio intento per questa edizione 3.0 di X Factor è aggiungere, nel rispetto delle regole, un nuovo elemento al mio ruolo di giudice, portare un pezzo del mio immaginario e del mio lavoro per accompagnare i ragazzi nel loro percorso, lavorando - oltre che sul suono e sul repertorio - anche sulla visione. Sarà questa la mia sfida: trovare dei talenti e sperimentare con loro a 360 gradi. Non sarà facile ma voglio provare a lavorare non solo sul 3.0 ma anche in 3D!». Manuel Agnelli dichiara: «Quando un programma, un progetto è così importante è sempre difficile trovare il coraggio e la disponibilità per cambiarlo pensando di poterlo migliorare. Spesso le volontà restano pensieri e parole e si viene tacciati di presunzione o ingenuità. Ci vuole tempo. Nella scorsa edizione si sono viste le prime avvisaglie di un cambiamento che, fra alti e bassi, è iniziato qualche anno fa e che quest'anno andremo ad amplificare ulteriormente. Un talent che diventa definitivamente un contest. Un progetto che si apre non solo a generi musicali poco rappresentati in tv, ma soprattutto ad un approccio nei confronti della musica non per forza condizionato dalle scelte e dalle convenienze del mercato. Meno condizionato, in realtà, anche dalle esigenze della televisione stessa. Perché è cambiata la percezione della gente e quello che in teoria non dovrebbe essere televisivo finalmente lo è diventato. Lo hanno dimostrato ad esempio, l'anno scorso, i Little Pieces of Marmelade e N.A.I.P., che sono arrivati in finale e se la sono pure giocata. Questo è un progetto più contemporaneo, che non insegue più gli eventi ma che li alimenta e talvolta li scova o addirittura, come nel caso dei Maneskin, li genera. Un programma che fa del racconto della musica in televisione il proprio centro. Non è poco in questo momento storico. Il racconto, la trasmissione dell'esperienza servono a tutti e sono più importanti del trovare a tutti i costi l'ennesimo fenomeno. È un esperimento tutto italiano. Perché è qui che abbiamo combattuto per questo. L'abolizione della suddivisione in categorie è una svolta importante, succede solo da noi. Ci permetterà di approfondire i diversi approcci musicali in maniera più netta e più libera dai paletti del format. Ma è solo l'inizio ed è solo uno degli aspetti. È la natura del programma, grazie alle persone che lo compongono e progettano, che cambia sempre di più. Con la giusta velocità e la giusta misura per non fare i situazionisti o i ribelli della domenica, ma in maniera netta. Le persone contano. Più dei format. Sono contento di fare parte di questa piccola rivoluzione e orgoglioso di esserne parte attiva». Mika dichiara: «X Factor Italia è espressione musicale e artistica dell’individuo. È uno show che provoca e alimenta la libertà di espressione. Ora più che mai, la rimozione della suddivisione nelle tradizionali categorie non è solo un fantastico passo avanti, ma è anche necessario. Un artista non dovrebbe essere predefinito in base al sesso o all'età. Un artista non deve competere sulla base di queste divisioni, ma sulla forza della propria visione artistica e musicale. Sono così felice che X Factor Italia sia il primo Paese al mondo ad avere il coraggio di farlo». Ecco, dunque, come si svilupperà il lungo percorso di X Factor 2021. Come sempre, nelle Audition- le cui registrazioni inizieranno tra pochi giorni agli Studios di Cinecittà - il totale dei concorrenti che hanno avuto parere favorevole nelle primissime fasi delle selezioni verrà scremato fino a ottenere i 48 più meritevoli di accedere ai Bootcamp: per proseguire occorreranno come sempre almeno 3 sì dei giudici. Qui entra in gioco la novità: al termine delle Audition, i quattro giudici si riuniranno con la direzione musicale di X Factor 2021 per confrontarsi sui giudizi dati nel corso della selezione e sulla progettualità artistica di ciascun concorrente. Sulla base di questo confronto, la direzione musicale assegnerà a ciascun giudice un roster di 12 concorrenti che terrà dentro sia partecipanti solisti che le band (da intendersi qualsiasi formazione musicale composta da più di un elemento), senza nessuna limitazione data dal sesso o dall’età. A seguire, le quattro squadre così formatesi affronteranno prima i Bootcamp, dove rimarrà immutato il meccanismo delle sedie già visto nelle precedenti edizioni, e poi gli Home Visit, dai quali emergeranno per ogni squadra i 3 effettivi concorrenti che poi accederanno ai Live, dove si daranno battaglia settimana dopo settimana per arrivare alla finalissima.
