Z103 Dumps Mika

Toronto's "hit music" station Z103.5 has an interactive show called "Pump it or Dump it" where each night a new song is played and the listening audience votes for it. They either like it and pump it.. or they hate it and dump it. If a song gets dumped it no longer gets played on the station. Love Today was played yesterday and it was Dumped by 97% ..... heartbreaking!!

When I heard it for the first time I thought 'Er.... isn't that a little bit too ...'disco'?!' But the second time I listened to it I was already in love with the catchy style of the song and the pure joy it spreads all over....so give that radio audience another chance to reconsider their opinion about it and everything's going to be alright. Yes, I'm pretty sure of that.

'Love Today' is a great song! How could that radio station dump it, and by 97%?!! What has happened to the world? WHERE HAVE THE PEOPLE WITH GOOD TASTE IN MUSIC GONE?! Oh wait...we're right here :wink2: But seriously, dumping 'Love Today'?!!!!

first time i heard love today i was inlove :D

Me too, me too, me too!! Well, not in the literal sense, but I "love, love" 'Love Today' :biggrin2: I remember the first time I heard it, i always looked forward (and still) to hearing Mika sing, "Love, LOOOOVE" right before he sings, "Carolina sits on '95." It's one of my favourite parts in the song!

So...Love Today was dumped. just shows that the people who listen to that radio station dont have love and dont know what the hell it is! so let them go without! there are many other stations for love today to played on!

I'm from Toronto and I DON"T LISTEN TO THAT RADIO STATION!

Besides, did you see the list of previous songs that were also "dumped" in the last year?

Previously dumped include, Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy", Lily Allen's "Smile", and Christina Aguilera's "Candyman" and other hits- I can't imagine this station NEVER played these again?!

Well - I guess if they dumped all those others - it almost guarantees Mika will be a hit then!!! :biggrin2:

It is such a shame...but we don't know how many people were at the time listening to it and how many voted who were listening- it really isn't representative

Wow! Well I Suppose Love Today Isn't The Most Audience Appealing Song, Grace Kelly Is The One That Wins MIKA The Huge Points With The Public.

I agree.

I don't hear very much "Love Today" on the radio. I always hear "Grace Kelly" and "Relax".

"Grace Kelly" is on love radio stations, pop rock radio stations, retro radio station. Everywhere!!!

I think "Love today" is hard to be diffused on many radio whereas I ADORE THIS SONG!!!!

What we have to get into perspective is that not everyone is a MIKA fan!-strange but true!!

So there's no need to think the world is against him just cause one radio station dissed him. Think how many other radio stations DO play his songs and there are millions of 'em!

It's probably 97% out of ten people that actually do listen to that radio station... anyway Mika's like marmite remember? You either love him or hate him... there's no in between... There are millions that are loving him at the moment and with this promo tour i'm sure he is going to do more than ok... i have a feeling our boy's going to be best newcomer for a number of music awards this year... :punk: :punk: :punk:
