Mika's Magic Numbers -- PLEASE READ

you know what?

on the EP+book confirmation order, we got the following:

The product(‘s) you have purchased can be redeemed for a personal gift from MIKA. We will email you on May 25th with a unique code and full instructions.

so, besides inserting the cd in the slot, we were supposed to get a surprise by Mika, maybe something in addition cause we bought it online...very early...don't know.

the same happened with the digital EP order confirmation.

I have already validated the EP by putting it into the laptop but it seems I would also be able to add points I got for the EP if Sandbag were kind enough to send the code to me....

I actually bought the EP twice and for myself, so it wouldn't be double-counting but I actually don't care much about it now... I will soon have enough points to have the thrid copy of it free:biggrin2:

You don't get a code if you bought the physical EP. You just validate the

disk by putting it in your computer. Period. There is NO code for the

physical EP only for the digital one.

i sent them the order number and they did add my points

If they did, then you must have confused them enough :naughty:

-- because you only should have gotten points for the physical EP.

As I said above, there is NO CODE for the physical EP, only for the

digital EP.

I never did get it to work but the nice people over at push gave me my points for LICM and SFS so that's cool. They thought maybe I had too many versions of Java on my computer. Which I had about 8 so you might want to check that out on your add remove and remove all but the latest up date. It should be Jave 6 update 14 all the rest can be removed. Anyway now I have my points but was dissapointed that the so called exclusive track is not exclusive at all. Oh well no point in worrying about the rest of the points if the stuff you get is stuff we already have. I'm guessing the EP will be the stuff we already have as well (Probably SFS EP with artwork) Which you needed to get that far with points anyway. Not sure of the point I'll never get the stuff for the really high points anyway.

I feel your pain ...

My only solution was to come to my works computer and do it on this machine , I spent nearly a day as well and nothing ... :boxed:

Maybe just bite the bullet and try and another machine? possible?

I bought the ep twice, the physical ep and the digital one. So I can use my code + validate it by putting it in my computer?

Yes, you can get credit for the physical EP by putting it in your computer

and validating it. And you can get credit for the digital EP by entering the

code. I did that, too, and it works just fine. :thumb_yello:

Thank you! I've entered the code and it works, the validation of the physical EP won't work for now. but I'll try again later :wink2:

hey anyone know what is interactive with the screan saver or am I missunderstanding what they mean by interactive? My friends all think that that mean you should be able to interact with it as I do. So I am just curious.

For folks who still aren't clear about the way the program works,

Push has updated their FAQ and guidelines, and they've created a video

"tutorial" as well. Here are the updated guidelines to uploading

photos:

1. Images should be of or relating to Mika - irrelevant or images owned by

someone else will not be accepted

2. Images, whether photographs or pictures, should be produced by the

person uploading them

3. Duplicate images or many similar images should not be uploaded and will

not be accepted

4. Please follow these rules otherwise we will have no choice but to suspend

your account to ensure the game remains fun and fair

And here's the tutorial:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HtfGnfpBF04

We're going to try to get the voiceover instructions

translated into a few other languages as well -- hopefully

this will help everyone! :thumb_yello:

This is FANTASTIC news, thank you! It finally looks like they are taking action to sort out these important problems, so I'm very grateful :biggrin2:

So if you did not personally take a pic,

you should not be adding it as an image to an album?

(And the same for a video?)

Exactly, Alice. I mean, if it's a photo that was taken with your

camera of you, I guess that's OK, but nothing else.

In other words, no uploading of wire service photos, or photos

that were in magazines, or Mika's

official music videos, and no swiping of other people's photos

from their facebook or myspace pages

and uploading those. Also no uploading of screenshots of videos

that you didn't take, and no repetitive photos that are the same basic photo

but maybe taken 1 second later than the last one.

I don't know how they plan to monitor that, but it does

sound pretty fair to me.

OK-that's pretty clear. Didn't realize that was the drill:

Got a S_IT-LOAD OF STUFF TO TAKE DOWN.

Good thing is--it won't take anywhere as long to take down

as it did to put up. THANX: Just wanted to make sure beforehand!

Edit: OK, my wipeouts.gifWIPEOUT is total now.

(That's a chunk of my life I'll never get back, HA!)

I see you can enter "favorite" images from a "gallery" of pics

others have posted. I'll try that, and hope my FAVS are among them!
