suzie
Is this electro punk? No, Supertramp is rock. It is Martin Solveig in the the electropunk genre among those he mentioned to be working with or be inspired by. Love in itself is NOT the same as "the origin of Love" one makes you dream... the other is more of a scientific look at the feeling.... and that's where Mika comes in! I really like this thought, it sounds so interesting (and make me very curious) yes, I'd like to know how he will approach it. If he approaches it from the view the song covered by RW approaches it from, it will be pretty interesting,

suzie
What the heck is electropunk, after all??? I think he means music like this (it is more electro / house) Daft Punk Tron legacy soundtrack - he mentioned this soundtrack, too, in this interview or Martin Solveig
RAK1
What the heck is electropunk, after all??? I think DaftPunk are the best example of it.
koolj5
Anyone realized he named his album after a Rufus Wainwright song ? thank you so much for the translations!!! i love it, the concept, the styles (i'm a big electronic type music fan), and the still short hair... just wondering - he says, he set himself up by calling it 'childhood', and 'adolescence' albums, then why even say now that it is going to be love songs, in a way he is already setting it up like that again... basicamenteyo
Seriously, I´m fancing now a new group which makes electronic music and I absolutely love them and all their songs. I love that music, but I still think it´s not Mika´s style at all... I wouldn´t love Clockwork Orchestra sounding like Grace Kelly, the same way I don´t want Mika sounding like Tron Legacy... oh come on!! Tron Legacy??? WTF??? suzie
So the new Mika sounds are gonna sound like that??? :lmfao: Hope i don't have to swallow my hat later... I have no idea what kind of sound he is planning to produce but he said it would be a 'combination of' genres, so it can be pretty interesting. ..like this one I love from Martin Solveig: I also like Rejection by him, for example. Besides, I am so pleased he finally mentions rock bands as inspiration

AnnaMariaPetra
xD I was talking about Huey Lewis' Power of Love. I havent listen to Celine Dion's (going to listen to it now ) ...but when I read the 'origin of love' the first thing I thought of was Back to the Future and that song (cos it's in Back to the Future xD! ) You should listen to Jennifer Rush's version of The Power of Love. She has a great voice, and it's a superb version!
Droopsy
I really love Martin Solveig. Difficult to pick a favorite... probably between everybody and c'est la vie. Still, I can't quite imagine how it would sound if he and Mika worked together. So I'm really curious to hear the result! Dreamy_Queen
Like that band who uses pandas and laptops, DreamyQueen knows which one Oh noo, not Mika - with laptop on stage Thank you so much for the links and translations Just watching the second vid, and I can't understand a word but I'm still hypnotized! His hair!! His make up!! Really can't wait the new songs, they can't be typical love songs... Edit: I'm not sure there is any make up, it just looked like that in the second vid, and I thought they did a photo shoot or something... It will definitely be very strange love songs... I bet we wouldn't even understand that some of the songs are love songs if he hadn't told us Here's the translation ! Sorry for the mistakes Thank you so much!!
