  1. LOVE them!!! Make sure you make 'em in a women's size too, please!!! so cool!
  2. Now...how could anyone, including a security guard, be threatened by a group of sober and perfectly angelic looking ladies holding a pair of innocent (if slim) tartan trousers?
  3. Thank you, thank you, thank you for telling us all about it! It sounds so wonderful. Sorry you didn't get to see him after and he had to go so quickly. How nice of his mother to talk though and take your items to be signed. All these reports are making me so anxious for my own show...in DC in about a month! Nervous, excited! I can't wait... I wonder if seeing him here in the US is going to be any different? I wonder if the crowd will be more subdued? I don't know! I'm so glad you had such a good time...thank you for the pictures too...you all are such sweeties!!! xoxo
  4. Now, I know I had Mika hair before Mika, 'cos I had it in 1983, the year I graduated high school....the year he was born! I still have curly hair, but now it's shoulder length, could be like Mika's again if I cut it, but my husband doesn't want me to. I like it like that myself though. Otherwise, my style is very subdued. My sister calls me "the librarian." But Mika has had somewhat of an effect. I've recently bought some very bright tops in a swirly pattern (red, turquoise, and green) and a pair of shoes that I wouldn't have bought beforre--they are black sneakers with rainbows, hearts, diamonds, clovers etc. on them, and today I was looking at Converses with flowers on them inspired by the converse thread. So there's an influence, definitely. I have to be careful not to look ridiculous though. I am 41, after all. I don't want to look demented or pathetic.
  5. I really have to hand it to you guys. I don't know what I would have done exactly, but I don't think I could have kept my cool. I probably would have called the police and wanted them to explain to the police why my ticket wasn't being honored. And...I don't think I could have been civil if I was being sworn at. I perhaps would have threatened to call news media too, lawyers, that kind of stuff.
  6. So very sorry you had this experience Freddie (and friends). You are such a sweetheart too! But perhaps, when you see him on Thursday he will know you, and you'll get to have a nice little chat with him because of the incident. I love how his bodyguard jumped in to say "hey boss, it wasn't us...it was the university guys..." covering his behind. ha ha.... I do hope he does something about it, so those jerks treat people with respect from now on or find another line of work. Mika does look peeved. And he should be! I would be too.
  7. *POUTING* I want to live in London, Daddy! I want to be in Mika's video, too, Daddy, NOW!!!!" ok...I'm finished being Veruca Salt.... Congratulations!!! Please let us know what happens so we can live vicariously through you!
  8. Ok...sign me up for this here mommy hootenanny! I'm 41--Ugh--live in the US. I have four children, three daughters, ages 16, 13, and 4 and one son age 6. My youngest two love Mika, which is a big help. My 13 yr old thinks my fascination is "creepy," which is something of a downer. My 16 yr old thinks its amusing, I think. My husband, so far, thinks its "cute." I home school the youngest two, and have been known to have the MFC on behind my children's online lessons for a peek while I wait for them to finish up their work books. I'm going to the DC concert in June and taking my oldest daughter with me. Hopefully she won't cramp my style. If she raises her eyebrow at me (I told her---we are going to the front, I will be singing, whooting, jumping, yelling, etc.) she will be sent to the corner or the ladies room. Glad to be with the other mummies here!
  9. So happy for you Sou!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know you must be over the moon with happiness!!! I've been waiting and waiting myself, and I haven't heard it on the radio either. But it's just bad luck on my part, they have played it here where I live. My husband's heard it, and others have, just not me. So they are playing it here. But I'm still waiting!!!!!! I know how you feel!!!!! xoxoxo
  10. When oh when will this saga ever end!?!? (says in my best NYC accent) "I'm dyin' ovah heah!"
  11. Prince is really wonderful in concert. I've seen him three times. A must see. I'd really love to see him and Mika do something together but I doubt the tiny Prince would like standing too close to our towering boy. Nice pic of Mika, but he's looking less colorful than usual. Still awfully cute though. Thanks for posting!!!
  12. I'm going to dare to be different here. I don't think the guy was all that bad. I mean, he chose a Mika song...good taste there. I give him points for that. He can sing. Points there too. Now....he can't hit the notes Mika can. He can't sing like Mika can. I think he did an OK version of it. Don't need to hear it again though. Funny though, as I was playing it, my 4 yr old was sitting on my lap watching tv. She looked over and said, "Ewww." I said, "What's ewww?" She said, "That" and pointed to the computer. "That's not Mika." Hahahahaha!!! Out of the mouths of babes...
  13. How many MFC'ers have entered? I hope you all get in....gosh I'm not even entered and I'm on the edge of my seat here!!!! Got my fingers and toes crossed for you all!!!
  14. I would like to spend a whole day with Mika. I'd like him to eat Cocoa Krispies with me for breakfast, then help me homeschool the kids. He could give my son a piano lesson and talk with him about music, maybe sing and dance with my son and daughter (ages 6 and 4) a bit. They love him. Then he could take me clothes shopping, and give me some of his famous style tips. We could have lunch out. Then go home, and hang out and talk with my family, spend the evening watching tv together. Just to get a sense of what he was really like. or He could vaccum my house in a french maid's costume while I sip ice tea. High heels are a must.
  15. Awww....that's awesome. My little ones (4 and 6) love Mika, and my 6 yr old is musically inclined. I would LOVE to take him to see Mika at the concert I'm going to in June, but it's standing room only and starts at 7:30. I'm afraid he wouldn't be able to make it til the end. They both would love it though.
  16. Caz, I just viewed your entry, and I only have one thing to say. After you meet Mika, you MUST come back here and share every single tiny detail of what happens!!!!! That was the CUTEST video!!! I don't know how he wouldn't pick that one!!!! He will love it, it has such a sweet spirit. YOU, girl, are a shoo in. (in my opinion!!!)
  17. I hate how they bring the "issue" up all the time. It's annoying. He looks good though. whooo hooo!!!!
  18. Welcome Camilo!!! Don't worry about your English. We'll understand each other all right. We speak the language of MIKA.
  19. Yes. Do you like to cook?
  20. Talk to us, girl. That's whatcha do. That's what we are here for. I can't wait either! It's driving me CrazY!!!
  21. This is a great thread! Thank you all for sharing your pictures, I love seeing your beautiful families. No pics from me...I don't have a lot of my brothers and sisters on the 'puter, plus I'm too technically challenged (read-old) to know how to post them 'n stuff. But I'll tell you about them. I have three brothers and two sisters. Bruce (He's a carpenter, puts in kitchens and makes beautiful things from wood) Greg (He's a Pastoral Counselor, has his doctorate and does therapy work plus preaches) David (Professional Commercial photographer) Pamela (RN and Masters in Counseling) Sharon (Secretary) and Me. I'm next to youngest. David is the youngest, he's 40, and I'm 41. Dave is the only one still single, and the only one without children. He and I fought a great deal when we were younger but we get along now. I idolized all my older siblings, and they all tried to guide me in one way or another. Three of us have advanced degrees in psychology so I think either our parents really screwed us up or they really did something right. (ummm...I think we were a little screwed up....hee hee....)
  22. My youngest two children love Mika--my six and four year old.
  23. Your best bet is to take DCDeb up on her offer. I will be with her at that concert, and we will most certainly be seeing Mika after the show, I'm very determined! It is a small venue, and I think it'll be easy to see him afterward. Right now the concerts are small. Soon, perhaps even by next year, they will be bigger, and we may not have these chances.
  24. And if he hadn't worked up a sweat, they'd have printed about how he wore a pink shirt and pranced around so as not to sweat, saying he was a poof and not at all masculine...YADDA YADDA YADDA. Mika, you are just right.
  25. I said, "you always seem happy. What makes you happy? What makes you angry?" and "You have a childlike quality about you, do you like children?"
