Melisanda Posted February 5, 2012 Share Posted February 5, 2012 Wonder Overrated would be reproduced as a love song ...then I always thought Overrated is a love song,also Intoxicated sure.... overrated.. more like the fear that the one you care for/about/are in love with won't love you when discovers more things about you/the"real" you or watever... more like a "fear song" oh god, real love is when you know someone....different sides of the person. This cracked me up too. I was so happy to see all these tweets about the new album, it's so exciting! It makes me feel like it's going to be released soon and that's definitely a good thing, but at the same time getting all these small teaseful bits of information is agonizing. 'why dont you like me?' 'would you hate me?' Overrated almost brings me to tears with the 'in this perfect place' bit. It really is perfect. It's interesting that Mika said he gave himself a timeline for writing songs for LICM (i.e. he did not use songs he had written previously) but for TBWKTM and TOOL he used old songs. I think Overrated is too good to let die and too good to record all at the same time. I doubt I will prefer the recording (or even like it) but I am really looking forward to hearing it live - finally! I actually don't care too much for the demos.
