tiibet
I haven't read your posts yet.I'll check your first impressions later. Am I the only one to find this extract one of the most romantic 90 seconds he ever wrote? I left a little boy at Heaven, whispering his statement of freedom, twisting his fingers, with a palpable embarrass, and I find now a man shouting all his love to the world. I am so touched. It will never be a catchy summer song for me. Never. Damn'd Penniman. I love it if it is like that I don't speak French so I can only read the translation and I assumed it's written together with Doriand so I didn't see it that personal (but I love that thought!). krysady
So, the word is Lookoums, and it means turkish delights, it was quite a debate elsewhere apparently xD I am in love with his chest voice in this, I am extremely fine with the lyrics, here is a happy me (No Mels, this is a happy banana, you are not a banana) Thanks for the help! I'll join you :pbjt: (is it me,or this banana is doing the boum boum moves?)

sfsmg1
Grace Ally
It's the first time I realise this so strongly, although I've had my doubts with L'Amour dans le Mauvais Temps.. But L'Amour dans le mauvais temps was originally written in English and only then translated into French, wasn't it? I can remember him singing the English version in Compiegne. ceebs
I really like it. You don't have to understand French to find it enormously catchy. It's a great summer song. The lyrics are just dodgy enough to be sexy but not explicit. I think it will be very popular. He couldn't be releasing it at a better time. RAK1
Ooohhh, saucy If you listen to rap lyrics they can be far worse than this, so I don't see the problem as such. I would LOVE for Scott Mills to hear this, and hear what he thinks of it. I get a feeling he just might like it.
checcodizzy
I have just listened to this new song, I think it is so catchy and above all enough danceble to become the hit of this summer. That’s sure!

shouldilookolder
I must admit, looking at the translation, this is even filthier than I expected! But it sounds so good...
~Wicky~
Thank you for posting the 90 seconds snippet and thanks for figuring out and translating the songtext Quite like 'the song': I love Mika's voice in one particular part of 'Pick up of the floor' and I hear the same voice technique in this song! Alie
I really like the beat. His best french song so far (yes, I like it more than Elle me dit). BUT I'm really scared about the lyrics, are they too "explicit" for the radio ?

Menthe
You can already listen to the whole song here:http://www.josepvinaixa.com/blog/mika-boum-boum-boum-single-premiere/ I like the melody, the rythm and especially Mika's voice , but less the lyrics.
