First time seeing Mika onstage is always a special moment! I'm looking forward to meeting you & all the other MFCers too....

but i thought i better warn everyone that I'm super anxious & awkward especially about introducing myself to people and in groups. So if I don't talk much at the get-together please know that I'm listening and probably want to say something, but like, words are hard.

.....unless it's about Mika, i can talk to just about anyone about him for hours :teehee:

I appreciate your courage and I’m glad that you told me. But I love everyone talking about Mika and talk about him for hours.

OK I'm confused. Are people

a) staying near the venue and travelling into Manhattan etc for sightseeing

b) staying in Manhattan and travelling into Brooklyn for the concert

c) staying half in Manhattan and half in Brooklyn

d) something else?

d) Something else. I'm staying in Brooklyn, but not that close to the venue -- I guess I'm becoming prissy in my old age, but I just don't like the looks of the hotel that's right across the street. So I will be traveling into Manhattan for dinner/sight-seeing and traveling to the theater for the concert. Unless I change my mind and book something in Manhattan -- maybe that makes more sense. I'm so indecisive these days!

Sivan and I are staying near the venue for the concert, so we will be traveling into Manhattan for the sightseeing/meetup!

My travel  plans are midtown Manhattan four nights April 2-6.  I’ll commute  by taxi or Uberor  Lyft to the fan club dinner on the fourth into Muka’s concert on the fifth. Planning on seeing a Broadway show on the night of the second or maybe on 3 April.

The Vybe? I agree, that place is sketchy as. The reviews are awful. A bit of rolled up paper in the spyhole? No thanks.

Not yet, been looking online today (at work, shhh...) I'm open to recommendations. The Millenium Downtown caught my eye earlier but I need to look at it properly - there's probably a review complaining about the noise the roaches were making. :lol3:

This could be useful. Is it a chargeable service? :biggrin2:

A!
My Airbnb is about a 10 minute walk from the venue but I’ll only be staying there Monday night. After the gig I’ll be heading to Penn Station in Manhattan to await my 4am train.

I figured I’d arrive Monday morning by train, take the subway to Brooklyn and do something fun there like go to Prospect Park Zoo or the Brooklyn Library (FYI the Botanical Garden and Brooklyn Museum are closed mondays) then checkin to my Airbnb at like 4 or 5pm(?) before heading back to Manhattan for the meetup. So,  lots of subway practice!

I'm staying in Manhattan, near Grand Central Terminal.

I will take a flight to Canada from Newark airport on Wednesday morning.  So hectic, but I love travelling for MIKA anyway.

Wait, when are you leaving Boston? Or are you going elsewhere in-between gigs?

I think she's talking about the concert on 5 April in NY, which is a Tuesday, and that she's going to the train station straight after the concert to go home. :original:

I’m flying out of Boston at 6am on Sunday morning (actually booked that flight yesterday!) & heading back to my sister’s place in Philadelphia for the night. It’s extra travel but once the gig date changed it seemed cheaper than getting a room in Boston for 2 nights (or one for an extra night in NYC) + I’ll get to hangout with my sister a bit more.

Hero, have you decided where you’re staying yet? Hopefully all the good places aren’t booked up yet!
