Smoutebollen taste a bit like donuts, only, the outside is a bit more crispy since you mostly eat it when it's hot I remember we talked about this on MFC before somewhere, we talked about smoutebollen, oliebollen, boules de berlin, donuts.... in my country we call "small cake of rain" is similar but don't know if it's the same recipe stuff Sorry for being off topic too I'm curious That's such a cute name!
