I just wonder where my state of mind will be at 1am. But I will do my best :lol3:

Where will you stay in Switzerland? I have a hotel in Geneva.

I am close to Geneva, staying with my aunt!

I also have a car like @Prisca, have room for one more person ☺️

I checked train timetable for the return to Geneva. The tickets (Geneva-Nyon-Geneva) is about 8-9 CHF.

For the return trains there is one at 00:59. It's just about the end of the concert so I don't think we could catch it as first you have to take a bus 811 from Cran to Nyon (ex the one at 1:45).

The next train is at 4:25.

So if I don't find a place in one of your cars I think I will take this train.

There is a 811 bus timetable for the Caribana festival period from Nyon to Cran and from Cran to Nyon

As well as from Gland via Cran to Nyon

Isn't there also a bus between Geneva and the festival? I thought I had read that somewhere. Anyway my son and I will be going to Geneva with @holdingyourdrink , don't want to be stuck somewhere or waiting for trains/buses with my son in the middle of the night. We're staying at the Meininger Hotel.

Isn't that all just part of the festival experience? :teehee:

In French version of the Caribana website you can read:

If you have a ticket for Caribana you can take for free the line 811 between Coppet and Gland.

For more there is a shuttle bus between Nyon train station and the festival.

It's funny that this has not been included in an English version.

Well, it can be interested for those who come by car - as the parking places are in Coppet and Cran.

Prisca, do you think you would have a place in your car to go back to Geneva?

Not a problem with going to the festival as there is a lot of trains during a day. So I can go alone.

It's still a while until June and the rules are likely to change by then (these are the latest as of today), but on this page you'll find the entry requirements for Switzerland (available in EN, FR, IT and DE):

So it looks like for EU citizens no need to register on the website. No more Covid restrictions.

I think there aren't anymore corona restrictions for anyone no matter which country you come from. :original:

If we can agree on a time, I can probably take you in the morning as well. @Heroyou'll probably come with me in the morning too, right? And your hotels are not far from each other.

@Prisca Reading this thread, I really hope you're a better taxi driver than Mika... :biggrin2:

Nina survived driving with me in Quebec in a new car with automatic transmission where you could barely press the brakes and there was already a full stop. :baghead:

Then I'd much rather drive my old car with gears. :pinkbow:

The good news: Nina is still riding with me. :glasses: The bad news: Now I have to prove to her that I don't drive my own car so badly. :drive:

😅
