MaureenG Posted January 13, 2022 Share Posted January 13, 2022 My name is Maureen I live in Houston, Texas since August 1971. My father worked for Exxon Chemical and he retired in 1991. We are originally from Deer Park, New York. My father passed away in 2006. My mother is still alive and she is 91. I love Mika’s music for the past 10 years! I came across the Mika fan club recently so I thought I’d become a member. I work as an Administrative Assistant in a school district here in Houston. I enjoy traveling, singing karaoke and I sing in the Catholic church choir I attend Mass. I sing second soprano. I enjoyed the Mika Fan Club Instagram live yesterday. MaureenG Posted January 14, 2022 Author Share Posted January 14, 2022 (edited) Thank y’all for being so welcoming to me to the Mika Fan Club. ❤️ I was on a cruise out of Galveston Texas for Christmas on the Carnival Dream December 18-26. We could not go to Key West because they weren’t allowing ships in. We could not get off at Princess Cay in the Bahamas do the rough seas because the tenders could not make it to the ship. We went to Freeport and Nassau. I even decorated my cabin door for Christmas. I also participated giving out candy canes in the children's stockings who were on the ship on Christmas Eve night they were waiting for Santa.. I’m fairly new to MFC, I joined in September (I think, maybe October), and I love it here! Everyone’s very nice and fun. I used to sing in a choir myself, I wish I still did and probably would if I was a member of a church.
