Max Posted April 21, 2007 Share Posted April 21, 2007 Oh absolutely, Sou! I hate to say this, but I bought my first Proclaimers*cassette* back in the mid-1980s at Tower Records in London! Been a fan ever since. As for the rest of Mika's playlist, I quite like all the tunes except I'm not familiar with the Nina Simone song. How did I miss that one? Guess I'll have to go have a listen... dcdeb I was a fan of the Proclaimers in the 80's. Then they droped off my radar until last year when my sister dragged me along to see them at a small gig at the MAC in Birmingham. They were still fantastic ... if not better than ever. Not that I really listen to most of them, just sorta songs I put on my mp3 player and then forget they're on there. My grandma really likes that Dolly Parton song. Good to know Mika and my grandma like the same music. She basically just has this old country mix tape, and she puts Dolly Parton on repeat. I really love the sound of settling from them.. and was no annoyed their aussie gigs were over 18 (no longer a problem) And 9 to 5 is a classic dolly parton song.. love it.
