Yeah, I was gutted there were no programmes at PDP (Eminem and Bruce Springsteen had programmes but Mika never seems to) But I'd rather have a NOTEBOOK- I'm a bit of a notebook nutter

What kind of a notebook? Is this something you've seen at other events? He really should have a programme that looks like a notebook if nothing else, since the set is just one big notebook. :naughty:

Hello again, another brilliant gig, his voice was amazing last night as was the whole show! 2nd gig on this tour and 1st time i saw the book, this was fabulous to see and also Mika in such high energy!!

Night before ( Sheffield) we spent much of our time waiting to go on stage ourselves and tonight it felt great to watch every moment from the front!!

Great experiences, everyone different. It is great to have so many people with you on this journey :blush-anim-cl:

Some very excited people were lollipops last night, it was nice to see the chance Mika gives to his fans to experience this.

At Sheffield Mrs P told us when i said this was just a great fun but i saw how much work it was behind the scences for them etc ..

" It would be easier to have the same people every night but Mika wants it to be the fans!!!! " awww we have to be so grateful for how sweet he is xxx:wub2:

oh the notebook is now official merch and is basically like a school text book that Mika would have used with Mika and something else i can't remember written on it! It's green I 'm sure!

Yeah, Mellody mentioned it in (I think) the Dublin reports thread- and I got all excited :boing: Maybe it was somewhere else, as you were in Dublin, weren't you? :dunno:

Text book or exercise book? Can't wait (for the gig or the merch- 33 hours to go)

Yes I'm really glad he's doing it. There's a bit of jealousy between fans sometimes but just about everyone gets their special Mika moment if they stick around long enough and are determined. This is a great opportunity for a lot of people to get an extraordinary experience.

Ah, I see. Thanks!

I didn't see the merch table in Dublin and really wasn't paying attention in Belfast either. :teehee:

Andy did a rather long interview with me in Dublin about the Belfast show but really I'm the wrong person to ask. I am just thoroughly mesmerized by Mika. I don't know what's going on with the lighting, the set, the band...I don't care about merchandise. I'm there to see him do his thing.

Yep, that was exactly the same thing I told him when he interviewed me :lmfao: that all I really care for is to hear Mika sing and see his face, and all the "showiness" kinda goes wasted on me :aah:

Poor Andy, maybe this was not what he (or Mika) wanted to hear, but hey, a bit of constructive criticism is always welcome by Da Mastah :naughty:. I did give plenty of good criticism about many things that I love or think are better now, so it was mostly good stuff anyway :dunno:

Yeah it was a pity I had fangurled too much the night before...Andy said he would interview me when my voice came back:naughty: It is still not back 100%, and we are now a week since Belfast :aah: and anyway, I am back in JAPAN now!

poor andy, seems like he's having a hard time finding the right people to interview. :naughty: i'm completely rubbish talking to a camera and hardly ever understand andy's questions because he speaks with such a low voice, and you guys can't tell him either what he wants to hear, lol! :naughty: well, guess mika has to rely on twitter then for the fans' feedback. :lmfao: tho andy interviewed you for quite a while in dublin, guess you did manage to give him some good feedback then. :wink2:

Posting Marilyn's report here (with her permission!), since it ended up being the first in this thread, and we'd like to keep that for a summary of reports, photos, etc.

Hi there! I'm buzzing like a hive full of bees! What an amazing night it's been!

Before the gig I went with Alan for a nice meal in a pub in the centre of Manchester, then hopped on the 192 (an absolutely incredible bus service) which took us straight to The Apollo where we said hi to some MFCers. I don't like to name names in my reports because I worry about leaving someone out. But you know who you are, and it was really lovely to see everyone again.

The concert began with David writing at a desk, and the writing came up on the screen. a big name MIKA and then a tree, then we saw an animation of Mika singing Rain. I'm sure others will describe it better than me, but I could tell even then that the show would be awesome... and it was!

I tweeted to Mika afterwards, that it was one of the best nights of my life, and I truly mean it! His energy was boundless, his voice, incredible. He has become an even better performer than when I saw him at Brixton. He held nothing back, he threw himself into every song he sang. When he sang I SEE YOU, I cried real tears. When he sang TOUCHES YOU I wished I was twenty and single (sorry Alan, but never mind, Alan can run deff run off with Gaga) Only kidding, but I'm sure everyone knows what I mean. Who would not love that incredible man! Towards the end he had everyone on their feet for LOVE TODAY, and he unleashed the inner teenager in me with WE ARE GOLDEN! I heard a man shouting that he wanted GRACE KELLY, and Mika sang it as part of the encore, where he also sang TOY BOY and LOLLIPOP, so that man who shouted would have gone home completely happy.

Afterwards the die-hard fans including 'Three Legged Me' (two legs and a stick) waited in the cold for him to come out of the stage door. They put barriers up and he came down the line to sign our stuff. I told him he'd been wonderful, and thanked him, to which he replied "awwwe thank you" and I said I didn't know how he had the energy for all that jumping about, and he smiled.

It was only about twenty seconds, but when you meet Mika, it's like time freezes and you are left with a golden moment that you replay forever in your mind.

Then we travelled back on the 192 bus with some great Mika fans.

It was indeed, one of the best nights of my life! Roll on March 1st at Hammersmith!

Aye, it was green and had "IT'S TRUE, IT WAS ALL MY OWN DOING" written on it. I grinned when I saw it.

I wish I'd gotten closer to the stage, as evidenced by this blurry thing of a photo (Could still see his facial features and expressions in detail though.):

And I'm still kicking myself for not being able to stay, meet him, give him that little ArTo-fu doll that's lived in my drawer for over a year now. Dad dragged me out of there due to fear of missing the bus.

(Now I'm regretting Mum not coming with me, she can drive. :|)
