@mikasounds Thank you for coming to Bristol, and making it a magnificent night. And thanks for you patience at my utter stupidity. 4 minutes ago

Blimey, you're on the ball! LOL!!

I'm pretty tired, after trying to find a 24 hour garage outside Bristol, I just got home.

Erik was fantasic this evening, a lot of the front row were dancing to him, and for a while, we worried that some sort of lethergy had set in, as no one was dancing around!

The worry disappeared though, as soon as Mika jumped on stage, the place erupted!, everyone was bouncing arond.

They clapped along with ToyBoy, which was a bit of a hiccup, but othewise it was a responsive crowd, thankfully!!!

He was giving EVERYONE eye contact tonight, I got a fair bit through Blue Eyes, but there was a reason for that, which I'go into later.

Pretty good crowd, and a few kids were brought over the barrier to save them from being squashed, which wouldn't have happened, as the crowd kept a fair distance apart, it was the most space I've had on a front row before!

MikaMads daughter was one of the kids taken over, and Mika spoke to her from the stage, which made for one proud mum, I can tell you, ha ha!

Before the show, Silver did something really nicr from us, which I'll let her tell you about, but got a lovely response from 2 very special people.

Lollioop, had the whole of Erik Hassles band on in masks and costumes, it was quite a sight, especially his drummer, ha ha!

After, we met Mika and I had a fairly lengthy chat about some stuff. Firstly the fact that I had my face painted, which was as a penguin, for absolutely the LAST time ever!

And this is why I had the eye contact during BEs, because Mika couldn't believe what he was looking at. And this was down to the fact, I had my face blacked up, with white paint rond the eyes, and an orange nose. But because wasn't sure what I was aiming for, he kind of freaked out, due the history of the venue (which was were slaves were traded) and he couldn't understand what I was doing!

He asked me what I was suoposed to be and I told him, a penguin (what else would I be) to which he replied, it was the s***iest penguin he'd ever seen, which made me feel a bit bad for Jazz, who worked hard on it, and I told him she had painted it!

He then mention, it took him by surprise, because of the venues history, which I had completely forgotten about, so I felt really bad then, and started panicing, but he was great and told me it was okay, he now understood what I was really aiming for.

I had a gift of a copy of a book I had as a child, of dark fairytales, which I asked him if he wanted, and he said yes, and he looked through it said he loved it, and said he'd put it in his library! That made me happy again. He then went on to the next person to sign stuff, but reassured me about my faux pas, by putting his hand on my shoulder telling me it was alright.

I will post a report and some photos later on today - have school run and meeting to go to this morning before i can get back to the important stuff in life ;)

But all i will see is i am still completely speechless from the gig last night. I was a big girl (only decided to do it last minute when John came out to ask for people) and it was the most amazing night, ever!

My husband is mad at me :sneaky2: because i had told him he didnt need to be worried about my Mika obsession because he is a far and distant pop star and then i ended up dancing on stage with him (lots!) and having a photo with him :wub2::wub2:

I also managed to get my drumstick signed (the one he threw to me on Sunday at Hammersmith)

Am very loved up with him this morning :wub2::mf_lustslow::mf_lustslow: and less loved up with my grumpy husband :sneaky2::roftl::roftl::roftl::roftl:

Awwwwww, sweet story... but you were mortified when you remembered about the history of the venue!!!

Sounds like a FANTASTIC night! I must see this penguin outfit/ make up... good to know he cares for the history of the place.. can't believe he thought you were a golliwog though.. damn! Cool gift, Rose... more stories = more inspiration for songs :thumb_yello: Glad it was a good one in Bristol.

OK, own up! Who gave Mika the laughing gas before last night's show? :roftl

Ha ha, yes he did seem to having a lot of fits of giggling during the night. But it was great to see him that relaxed. And his long ramble before ToyBoy, hope someone videoed it, worth seeing, was so cute!

Talking of long ramblings...he was like that at Birmingham eh?!

Rose, have you seen I've added my videos of your stage appearances to the Birmingham thread now? :thumb_yello:
