I just thought it would be more accurate and just as funny, especially given the original subject of the thread. It's a joke about the fans, not Mika's sexual orientation or the gender of whomever he would marry, so it loses nothing by omitting the reference to gender. However, replacing the reference with a gender-neutral word shows both awareness of and respect for Mika's choice to remain ambiguous about his relational preferences. It's a little thing that means a lot to people who care about such things and to those who care about the people who care. Not something I get upset about, but something I appreciate when I see people showing an awareness of it. Yes I agree. It was just in the context of what I wrote, I also wrote <insert your country here> It was a bit of fun, not meant to be annalysed and I have always respected Mika's choice and have said many times on many threads that I only want him to be happy with whomsoever he chooses to be with. .
