It's basically the 2nd round, between the auditions and Judges Houses.

About 100 hopefuls go and sing again. They're usually split into twos or threes, sometimes told to sing like a group (if they're soloists) but still shine through.

Basically the contestants in all categories, are eliminated en-masse, until there are about 6 in each category. They are the ones who go to Judges Houses.

In the UK there was a cruel twist this year at Bootcamp. Each judge already knew their category and the contestants had to go onstage to sing. When the judge would decide to take someone through, he/she told them to sit in one of the six chairs onstage. This was okay until all six were taken. Then the judge would swap someone already sitting down ( who thought they were through) with the new favourite. It's really unkind so I hope it's not in IXF.

The judges houses are not really their houses so don't get excited about seeing inside Chez Mika. It's just somewhere they go with their judge and the judge has a guest assistant to help them decide which three are going through to live shows.

Someone else may have explained it better than me.

 

 

 

That's really horrible, and what I'd call an 'abuse of power'. That's why I never liked the xfs with cowell as a judge, there's no respect for the person behind the contestant. In xfi it never happened and I hope this year things won't change... From what I've seen the judges have always been professional and sincerely sorry for those who really believe in it and who don't make it, and they have anyway always shown respect, especially during the home visit, since those contestants are all good and really believe in it . So I don't think something like that will happen, hopefully!

I just have some questions about 2013.....so I was putting in order Violetta's performances, and I got pictures from all of them except I couldn't figure out which performance this was.

I watched the orange T-shirt guy, what did Mika said please, when he said him yes? Something about energy?

 

 

Oh, and this guy who speaks soooooooo fast, that they need to subtitle him :aah: the one with his guitar that Elio needed to "???" (verb is missing :mf_rosetinted:) because the guy had no diapason. What was all the discussion about?

 

I'm sorry for asking so much :aah::huglove: (I promise I will work very hard for The Voice :wink2:)

 

Oh, jeez he really talked a lot XD but he seemed a nice person! He basically said that he wants to make a living out of music, out of his songs, that reflect everything that has happened in his life, the birth of his son, a life-changing experience... He says these things are now a little bit 'frozen' inside him and he wants to extern them in his music, and to live the life he feels he has been made for. Then he goes on stage and asks Elio to tune (?) his guitar, he says he is a tragicomic songwriter, and he performs his song (btw, his voice wasn't amazing but the lyrics were pretty good, the song had quite a deep meaning). Then the 'discussion' with Simona was about the fact that he quit his job, because he felt the moment had come to quit a job that might have given him even a lot of money but that made him come home unhappy, while he wants to come home and give his girlfriend and his son a feeling of positivity. Everyone said yes, Mika said that he thought his song was very valid and believable. Then he said he was very happy, especially because the 4 judges, by saying yes, have made an injection of confidence in him.

 

He was a little bit mad indeed, but he seemed a nice person and his song wasn't bad, and, as Morgan said, he put a smile on their faces :)

I only watched a Talent Show in Germany and only because our Bubbles ( and he was really good ) was in it but I have to say I like the Italian contestants so far.

I've really been enjoying XFI. I can follow it even though I don't speak Italian. I can tell if they like the act, and when they give them "4 si" (4 yesses) I'm getting to like the other judges, especially Morgan.

I agree with you. In next episode's preview they showed a few seconds of Morgan complaining aloud to the other judges that he didn't want to break anyone's heart... I'm always sad for the rejected contestants too, even if I don't like them as singers... So I hope the judges will keep up to their responsibility with intelligence, sensitivity and respect. :)

The casting was 2011 and they showed it beginning 2012. Bubbles made it to round three and was with the constantents on the Maledives but hat to leave early there. This vid was the only one I found and I hope it will work for you.

Thanks :thumb_yello: It reminded me why I don't like DSDS (I really was asking myself if this is Reality TV now or a singing competition...) and Dieter Bohlen at all. I hope XF Italy becomes nothing like that :shocked: But I liked Bubbles Voice :thumb_yello: (in the 3 lines he was allowed to sing :sneaky2:)

He was with the last 35 but had to go because he was too much of his own person and they couldn't change him enough.
