dcdeb
+1:thumb_yello: Would be more than happy to chaperone Yes, I think that all of our under-18s would have more volunteers than they know what to do with! For the record, I did want to acknowledge some people who made this happen: -- Kath, because her idea that the MFC anniversary should have a charity component to it is what got the ball rolling. -- the MFC moderators who have been doing a lot of behind-the-scenes detail work, and who will be helping with the administrative tasks coming up, like sending out virtual raffle tickets! -- Team Mika, who listened to our request to do something like this, and followed through with it! -- and MIKA of course! Also for the record, I wanted to note that everyone who is a current member of the MFC is eligible to enter, regardless of age or location, and that includes us, the MFC Moderators. We have arranged to have someone from London's Air Ambulance to draw the winner, so that everything is as fair and above-board as possible. Now, start saving your pennies so that you can donate as much as possible before the March deadline! http://www.justgiving.com/MFCGoldenTicket

My companion and I have already decided that if we win, we shall fly to Ah-mer-i-cuh:mf_rosetinted: Of course he wouldn't do that. It would be the same hotel he'd be staying at. I can assure you that is a rather awkward experience and not in a fun way:naughty: "CONGRATULATIONS! In order for you to truly enjoy the cultural experience of the country you're going to visit, Mika has chosen to dump you in the slums. Have fun and good luck" Nah he wouldn't do that:wub2:

suzie
That's fantastic news! Thank you for the work of everyone who has been involved in this. I also think that it is an important step in MFC history since they are asking for MFC membership as a prerequisite for entering such an incredible competition. kath
Blimey, I wasn't far out when I was guessing what this would be!Cool prize, better top up my Paypal to get some tockets then Tockets Rose? Are they the new chickets? I nearly died when reading this. I muuuust wiiinnn this! Of course, to benefit the HEMS. It would be mean if Mika chooses a random travellodge as a hotel:roftl: I have to say that Travelodges do seem to pop up everywhere - I was most surprised to see one on the Las Vegas Strip For the record, I did want to acknowledge some people who made this happen: -- Kath, because her idea that the MFC anniversary should have a charity component to it is what got the ball rolling. Now, start saving your pennies so that you can donate as much as possible before the March deadline! http://www.justgiving.com/MFCGoldenTicket Thanks Deb. The MFC anniversary party was sooooo long in the planning that I couldn't honestly say who's idea it was to have a charity element ( I could of course read back but it may take a while!) But either way I am delighted at the way this has developed. The auction on the night made more money than we could possibly have hoped for and now this prize is really going to swell the funds - wouldn't it be great it we could double what we raised that night! I would like to add my thanks to everyone involved - particularly the mod team who I know do an awful lot of unseen work. I am delighted that everybody (that is able to afford a ticket) is able to participate in the draw and think it is a great idea to get someone at HEMS to draw it so that this can be the case.
