X Factor 2021, scatta l’ora della finale

La lunga corsa di X Factor 2021 è a un passo dal traguardo. Ora manca solo l’atto finale: quello che consacrerà il nuovo vincitore del talent show targato Sky. A percorrere gli ultimi cento metri che li separano dal verdetto saranno Baltimora, Bengala Fire, Fellow, gIANMARIA, i 4 finalisti pronti a contendersi il gradino più alto del podio. Lo faranno giovedì 9 dicembre prossimo alle 21.15 su Sky, in simulcast su TV8 e in streaming su NOW, sul palco del Mediolanum Forum di Assago. Super ospiti dell’evento: i Maneskin e i Coldplay. A pochi giorni dal live, giudici e finalisti hanno raccontato alla stampa le loro emozioni.

A rompere il ghiaccio nell’incontro virtuale con i giornalisti organizzato da Sky è stato Hell Raton, che con Baltimora (alias Edoardo Spinsante) punterà alla doppietta dopo la vittoria ottenuta la scorso anno con Elisa Coclite.

“Il primo consiglio che ho dato a Baltimora e al mio team è di non subire la gara. In questo programma i concorrenti stanno facendo un vero e proprio master universitario della musica. Per noi è già una vittoria essere arrivati qui. Abbiamo raccontato un percorso e sono contento perché Baltimora avrà l’occasione di esibirsi su un palco molto importante“

ha commentato il giudice di X Factor, consapevole che la sfida sarà molto agguerrita. Proprio riferendosi alla tensione della gara, il collega di giuria Mika ha invece spiegato quale dovrà essere l’approccio del suo concorrente Federico Castello, in arte Fellow: “libertà totale“. Il cantante libanese ha poi aggiunto:

“Ho avuto l’impressione guardando tutti i finalisti che ci sia uno salto verso l’essere artisti, soprattutto nella manche dei featuring. Lì ho visto che qualcosa era cambiato. Per Fellow vorrei che prendesse tutta l’energia e la portasse sul palco. Ora il pubblico diventa più largo, la maniera in cui la gente voterà sarà molto diversa. Noi siamo coscienti di questo, spero che con libertà Fellow possa convincere un pubblico largo come quello che avremo settimana prossima“.

Il finalista gIANMARIA (Gianmaria Volpato), sostenuto da Emma Marrone, ha invece ribadito di apprezzare in particolare le sonorità moderne. “Mi piacciono molto il pop, la trap, il rap. Non c’è un genere che sia più giusto, spero di essere me stesso questo importante“, ha affermato. Sarà dunque quello il bagaglio musicale che porterà davanti al pubblico della sfida conclusiva. Allo stesso modo, i Bengala Fire di Manuel Agnelli non tradiranno la loro peculiarità di esibirsi in lingua inglese.

“Non penso che porteremo brani in italiano. A prescindere dalla lingua, al Forum ci andiamo volentieri a prescindere dalla lingua“

ha detto Mattia Mariuzzo (alias Mario), uno dei componenti del quartetto completato da Davide Bortoletto (Borto), Andrea Orsella (Orso) e Alexander Puntel (Lex).

Tra le sorprese della finalissima, la già citata presenza sul palco dei Coldplay e dei Maneskin. Proprio commentando il successo internazionale ottenuto da questi ultimi, Manuel Agnelli ha osservato:

“Per me sono l’esempio che un ragazzo che si mette a suonare oggi può aspirare ad esportare la propria musica. Io sono nato in un’Italia in cui un musicista non sperava di uscire da qui. Invece ora i Maneskin sono un fenomeno internazionale. Non sto dicendo che automaticamente l’Italia si aprirà al mondo, ma psicologicamente questa è una delle cose più importanti che ci sta lasciando questa loro esperienza“.

X Factori 2021 – Chi sono i finalisti

Baltimora

Baltimora, all’anagrafe Edoardo Spinsante, fa parte del roster di Hell Raton ed è uno studente giovanissimo e un po’ nerd, dalla vocalità e dalla penna molto interessanti. Suona il pianoforte, la chitarra e mette mani anche sulla produzione. Ha fatto capire subito di puntare molto sui testi e sulla forza della parola: nelle selezioni ha proposto due suoi pezzi e “La ballata della moda” di Luigi Tenco. Nel corso dei Live Show ha portato brani di Carmen Consoli, Adele, Lucio Battisti, Morgan. Le sue canzoni originali presentate nel corso delle puntate sono state “Altro” e l’omonimo “Baltimora”. In semifinale ha duettato con Fulminacci.

Bengala Fire

I Bengala Fire, dal roster di Manuel Agnelli, sono Davide Bortoletto (Borto), Mattia Mariuzzo (Mario), Andrea Orsella (Orso), Alexander Puntel (Lex). Formano un gruppo dal forte richiamo brit-rock in cui ciascuno dei 4 ha le proprie influenze musicali: suonano insieme da circa 11 anni, si conoscono da quando erano piccoli e ad unirli c’è soprattutto l’amore sconfinato per il rock’n’roll. Dopo aver presentato alle Audition il proprio pezzo “Valencia” (rieseguito durante i Live Show, insieme all’altro brano “Amaro mio”), ai Bootcamp hanno proposto “Television Mind” dei Fontaines D.C. conquistando anche i complimenti da parte della band irlandese. Nel corso di queste settimane, hanno portato – tra gli altri – cover di Interpol, Blur, The Kinks, The Fratellis, Per la semifinale hanno duettato con Motta.

Fellow

20 anni, di Torino, Federico Castello in arte Fellow è un cameriere e cantautore dalla voce soul e dai capelli riccissimi. Scrive sia in italiano che in inglese, suona il pianoforte, è un cantante classico ma attuale. Si è presentato alle selezioni descrivendosi come grande fan di Mika, che poi lo ha voluto nel suo roster. Nel corso dei Live Show ha proposto i suoi brani originali “Fire” e “Non farmi andare”, oltre a cover – tra gli altri – di Harry Styles, Elisa, Coldplay, Florence + The Machine e Benjamin Clementine, quest’ultimo uno dei suoi cantautori di riferimento, con cui ha anche potuto duettare durante la semifinale.

gIANMARIA

Nel roster di Emma, gIANMARIA (all’anagrafe Gianmaria Volpato) sembra il ritratto della sua generazione: dall’aspetto curato e dai pensieri solidi, appare spesso sfuggente e introverso. Ha una visione del mondo abbastanza complessa che si riflette nella sua musica e nei suoi testi. Si è fatto notare fin dalle selezioni soprattutto con i due suoi brani presentati alle Audition e ai Bootcamp, rispettivamente “I suicidi” e “Mamma scusa”; nel corso dei Live Show è stato protagonista di un intenso viaggio nel grande cantautorato italiano, portando cover di CCCP, Vasco Rossi, Francesco De Gregori, Lucio Dalla, Milva. Nel corso delle puntate dedicate ai brani originali, ha portato proprio “I suicidi” e “Senza Saliva”, mentre in semifinale ha cantato con Samuele Bersani.

I’m positively surprised by this choice. I think it could sound very good with Fellow’s deep voice together with Mika.

Poco prima della Finale di X Factor 2021, Mika, Manuel Agnelli, Emma, Manuelito e i loro finalisti hanno raccontato alla stampa come affronteranno l'Ultima Puntata del Talent Show.

 

La Finale: ecco come si preparano giudici e concorrenti. Le dichiarazioni

Domani Sera, alle 21.15, in diretta dal Forum di Assago, andrà in onda su Sky Uno, in simulcast su TV8 e in streaming su NOW la Finale di X Factor 2021.

A contendersi il titolo di vincitore saranno quattro concorrenti, uno per giudice. Mika porterà Fellow, Emma darà man forte a gIANMARIA, Manuel Agnelli porterà alle stelle l'energia dei Bengala Fire e Manuelito motiverà a dovere Baltimora. Ospiti nazionali della serata saranno la nostra più celebre rock band, i Maneskin, e il gruppo inglese Coldplay. A presentare sarà Ludovico Tersigni.

 

Com'è successo all’inizio del talent-show e prima del Live Show, i giudici non potevano non incontrare la stampa per una chiacchierata sulla serata finale di X Factor 2021 e per un bilancio. Questa volta i magnifici quattro hanno portato con sé i finalisti. Si è parlato dei Maneskin, di concorrenti che sono diventati artisti, di influenze musicali. Il primo a rispondere alle domande dei giornalisti è stato Hell Raton alias Manuelito, che ha vinto X Factor 2020 con Casadilego. Ecco la sua dichiarazione seguita da quelle di alcuni finalisti e giudici.

 

Come si prepara Manuelito alla finale

Il primo consiglio che ho dato a Baltimora e al resto del mio team è stato di non subire la gara. E’ importante. I concorrenti di questo programma stanno facendo un master universitario in musica. Si trovano ad affrontare settimane difficili, a preparare pezzi nuovi, a provarli immediatamente. Per noi è già una vittoria essere arrivati alla semifinale. Io penso da discografico. Un EP è fatto minimo di quattro tracce, noi abbiamo avuto la possibilità di portarne più di sei a X Factor 2021, quindi abbiamo raccontato un percorso, e io mi ritengo molto soddisfatto. Tornando alla finale, sono ancora più contento, perché Baltimora avrà la possibilità di esibirsi su un palco molto importante nel panorama italiano, e faccio i complimenti a tutti a prescindere dalla vittoria. Credo che quest'anno sia andata proprio bene.

 

gIANMARIA sulle sonorità che più si avvicinano alla sua linea cantautoriale

Quando si vuole esprimere una cosa, penso che lo si possa fare in mille modi, attraverso mille suoni, e che si debba sperimentare quanto si vuole, cosa che io faccio, almeno credo. Le sonorità che mi piacciono sono principalmente quelle moderne, ma amo anche cose più vecchie. Mi piace molto il pop, poi la trap, il rap, e in generale un po’ tutta la musica. Non esiste una formula per cui mi sento più giusto, però ho bisogno di sentirmi sempre me stesso: è questa la cosa più importante.

 

I Maneskin, secondi classificati di X Factor 2021 possono dare una lezione di umiltà? (Risponde Manuel Agnelli)

Per me la loro lezione va oltre X Factor. I Maneskin sono un esempio per il ragazzo che si mette a suonare e che oggi può aspirare anche a esportare la propria musica. Io sono nato in un'Italia in cui un musicista non sperava neanche di uscire dal paese, e invece adesso i Maneskin sono un caso internazionale, ed è una prima volta. Quindi, se dei ragazzi formano una band, nella loro testa può nascere il pensiero di non essere soltanto un fenomeno nazionale. E’ chiaro che non sto dicendo che adesso automaticamente l'Italia si aprirà al mondo, però, anche solo psicologicamente, credo che questa sia una delle eredità più importanti che ci sta lasciando l'esperienza di Maneskin.

 

Cosa chiederà Mika a Fellow

Libertà, libertà totale. Ieri ho avuto veramente l'impressione, guardando tutti loro, che avessero fatto quel salto che permette di diventare artisti, soprattutto nella manche dei featuring, che è stata bellissima. In quel momento ho realizzato che il format era cambiato, così come la maniera in cui gli artisti vengono per cantare con i nostri concorrenti. Vorrei che Fellow prendesse quell’energia e la portasse sul palco.

Non dimentichiamo che queste ultime settimane X Factor è stato visto su Sky Uno e su NOW, e noi non sappiamo quante persone lo abbiano seguito su NOW, perché non fanno parte degli ascolti. Secondo me erano tantissime, e adesso c'è anche TV8, quindi il pubblico diventerà più ampio e molta più gente voterà.
Siamo consapevoli di questa cosa, e penso che Fellow, con la sensazione di essere un artista che si è liberato, potrà convincere un pubblico vasto come quello che ci seguirà durante la finale.

He doesn't feel safe in this techno environment  And he sais that he tried TikTok and he finds it very difficult. He has a lot of respect to TikTokers.

To those who speak Italian, who of the two didn't know that the final would be in an arena? I understand that Mika is talking about this, that one told the other that it's not the theatre but an arena, but not sure if it was Mika or Fellow who didn't know this.

Mika was telling his story. He's talking about that time he knew he would have performed in front of 4 thousand people and then when he arrived at the venue, he discovered some upgrades were done due to high demand and he had to perform in front of 14 thousand people (don't remember the correct numbers, but that's the idea). He also says he was worried because he had nothing on stage, but that finally thanks to that situation he learnt a whole knew part of this job (how to entertain people with nothing on stage).

Aaah ok thanks. That was the story he had told in the Montreal interview, about his gig there several years ago. Good then, I would've been surprised if one of them lived in such a bubble that they hadn't realized until one week before the final that it'd take place in an arena.
