L'élève de Ravenscliffe High School , à Halifax , a interprété l'opus 9 numéro 1 de Chopin , une pièce élégante et très technique, dans le hall de la gare de Leeds . Les passagers qui attendaient leurs trains avaient les yeux embués tandis que la mâchoire de Lang Lang tombait alors qu'il regardait la performance par liaison vidéo. Lang Lang, aux yeux écarquillés et stupéfaits, un ancien prodige de la musique qui se produit dans certains des récitals les plus prestigieux du monde, a déclaré : "Comment étudie-t-elle ? C'est incroyable. Magnifique. Je n'ai jamais rien vu de tel." Mika, qui a eu trois albums parmi les 20 meilleurs au Royaume-Uni et un single numéro un, Grace Kelly , a déclaré : "Elle transformait essentiellement un instrument de percussion accordé en un instrument vocal vivant et respirant. Et il a fallu une fille de 13 ans pour nous montrer comment faire ça." Ravenscliffe High School, la seule école secondaire spéciale de Calderdale , a déclaré : "C'est le moment incroyable où Lucy, une adolescente de 13 ans aveugle et neurodiverse, a joué une pièce de Chopin très complexe, a reçu Mika et Lang Lang sans voix . "Bravo Lucy, nous sommes si fiers de toi." Lucy est née avec des tumeurs aux yeux, un chromosome supplémentaire, qui provoque des traits autistiques, et elle a du mal à communiquer, rapporte The Mirror . Fréquemment hospitalisée au tout début de sa vie, Lucy a reçu un clavier jouet avec lequel jouer. Et sa mère Candice a remarqué à quelle vitesse elle apprenait à jouer à l'oreille et au toucher. La petite fille a été référée à Daniel Bath, un professeur de musique spécialisé qui l'a aidée à développer ses compétences. Lors de sa performance devant la présentatrice Claudia Winkleman, Lucy semble être bien ancrée dans la musique. The emotional impact has gone up a level from last week and it's like I can feel that emotion running through every note the pianists played. I loved how Mika and Lang Lang described how a piano can be someone's voice. Playing an instrument can sometimes be the only way people can express themselves in a more open and truthful way and it's really beautiful to see. At the start Mika said the people of Leeds are warm people and he's always surprised by something in Leeds, I hope he means that too for all Yorkshire folk! (Next time you're in Leeds Mika, hop on the train that comes to my town, only 25 mins away!) Also I love that Claudia always describes Mika as a world renowned performer! Wow, even better than the last week's episode. I'm glad for Lucy and I also loved Liam and many many others... not an easy task for Mika and Lang Lang to choose the winner, must have been so tough! CJ for the first episode which Deb posted on YouTube, I downloaded it on my computer as 200 MB file. (I don't need better version) Not HD resolution but good enough to watch. The man crying while playing Chopin. Josh, his chickens, and attitude to his friends who think he's wasting his time. Good lad. Judges moments: That comment. I howled. Sorry Andy. Mika peeking through the curtain. Mika being so animated about the boy who sang Iris. Mika spotting the bad pub singer's playing talent and asking Claud to make him shut up and focus on the piano - and Claud doing it! Both judges agreeing the woman should dump her selfish partner and focus on her singing. "Please be good. Please be good. Please be good." Both judges being so utterly moved.
