Hey Guys

Stop and think of the world as a whole and even tho he does travel an awful lot, he can't visit everywhere!

There are plenty of countries that will have heard of MIKA nad NEVER get to see him!

Think yourselves lucky...even if you're not at the gig you might aswell be with the amazing photos and video on here!

You know the little singing bird?

Yes i bought him it for part of his Christmas present. Then he put Drunky Crow and my stocking on his piano at the Newcastle gig 26/11. Then after asked - if I had seen what he'd done for me :blush-anim-cl: but unfortunately I was too far back but lovely Mellody took some photos for me!:thumb_yello:

It is called Drunky Crow and is a character from the cartoonist Tony Millionaire. I had to get it sent from the US as can't be found over in the UK what so ever....unless you visit Mika's flat!:roftl:

Yeah they do always happen. They just don't happen as soon as you'd hoped sometimes. :wink2:

There was a tentative US tour set for September 07 and he's just playing his first US date on Thursday.

We never knew when he was coming back to Canada and it's just happened now after 10 months of waiting.

This actually is the first indication I've ever heard of him doing a proper Canadian anything. We were totally excluded from his US tour last June and didn't know if we were going to be included in the next one until the Montreal date was leaked just a week or two ahead of the official announcement of all 3 Canadian dates.

Well, Suzanne is a very very happy Girl!!!!!!!!!!! and she gets the finale!

and it WILL BE FAB! trust me ,,,I think Vancouver is Sold Out. I was doing some Tickemaster snooping and I think you can only get single tickets here and there..maybe.

Alright girls and boys.... hold on to your seats... here is the BEST performance of Stuck in the Middle EVER!!!!!

Unfortunately there is a bit of a glare over his face in parts, but the sound quality is good, and you'll get a pretty good idea of how incredible the concert was!!

ps - I was very happy to be able to meet Christine and Suzy after the concert while we were waiting for him outside the venue. Both are absolutely lovely people.... and I understand that (fingers crossed) somebody (I won't mention names) took some REALLY great video that I can't wait to see!

Forget being a fan of Mika, Jerry is a fan of the crowd.

Yes, I saw him there, too! I would love to see some of his photos

one day! :)

Big M

I head something about Sexy Back and When Doves Cry in Montreal yesterday but there was none of that. Just Missionary Man.

Oh no :( I was SOOO looking forward to When Doves Cry! Not that

I don't like Missionary Man, but...

Hopefully a day of rest will see him good in Philly, but if he's got 5 gigs in 6 days (as I believe was what Deb was saying the other day), he is going to be pretty drained at the end of that.

Nooooo! The only thing we can hope is that NYC will be such an

excited crowd that it energizes him enough to carry him through!

The other thing that's scaring me now is that the flu is going around

everywhere, it seems. Everyone I've talked to lately, even my friends

in New York, seem to have it. I've had a flu shot, so I hope I'll

be OK, but I'm worried about you-know-who and Co.

I am glad we got him at the well rested end of this tour, because man it was f*cking amazing.

:yay:

Thanks for being so generous with your report and photos, Christine!

*Almost* as good as being there! Almost!

Which reminds me of something Andy said about the fans...he likens us to the FBI. Ha!

That's us! The MFC: FBI, CIA, MI5 and SS all rolled into one! :naughty:

That would be really cool! I don't follow any other band like this but I wonder how many other bands have their managers taking pictures of the fans. I'm going to guess not a lot.

It would be cool to see the photos and someday see of what Andy has caught on film too.

I love the hiccup thing hihi ! :roftl: what does he say at beginning of the second vid from SITM?

Sariflor I miss you ! :wub2:

He's saying "[lol]- I can't believe it" I think he tried to say "I still", but the still becomes the laugh :naughty:

Yeah, I think wolf maybe? It's got a pretty big tail.

The condensed version...

Crazy, crazy awesome gig. The one I have been waiting almost a year for and was disappointed I didn't get in Brixton because Mika was so sick.

We had a good day in the queue. Suzy and her hubby (ClosetMikaFan) arrived first and set up camping chairs for me and Sariflor to arrive not long after and Lana86 came just after us. The weather was above freezing all day so we just took turns going into a local supermarket to eat, get warmed up, etc. so we didn't suffer too much from the Canadian winter elements.

By mid-afternoon a tour bus pulled up to the front door of the venue with the band and everyone waved and said hi before going inside. Luke came over and had a little chat with Suzy because he's so sweet. :wub2:

Awhile later a van arrived with John, Mika's mom, Yasmine, Andy and of course Mika. He didn't come over to talk but gave a wave and some smiles before going inside.

Andy came out shortly after to do some filming and said that Mika was convinced that we had been camping out all night (probably because of the chairs). He talked to Sariflor about coming from England and later said it was strange for him to see familiar faces here.

We had some last minute queue jumping drama but managed to survive it with the help of the head of security. He knew we had been there from the morning and overrode the supposed instructions of the owner to let in some chancers who thought they could show up at 6 pm and get to the front of the queue. He made sure we went in ahead of everyone else so we were front and centre.

The crowd was totally hyper and crazy. There was a lot of pushing and shoving which I managed to be fairly protected from because the poor MFCers behind me were bearing the brunt. We called security over but they didn't want a know, saying it was a concert and everyone just had to suck it up.

The opening band Creature was pretty entertaining and the hyper crowd worked in their favour. They said that Mika audiences were the best. One of the girls in the band was named Cow Bella which cracked me up. She was banging on a cow bell and running around in cowboy boots and a Holstein cow type printed shirt. She had a bit of a Yelle thing going on with her moves.

...

Just want to quote Christine because now I will show you more details in pictures. I actually did post a bit of a report last night, but it seems I took so long that it booted me out and I lost the whole post  ...and I was sooooo tired and beat, that I gave up and had to go to bed.

Sorry...but here you go:

We arrive at the venue. The Kool Haus.

IMG_0513.jpg

There's already a queue. But its only 4 birds atop of the building.

IMG_0512.jpg

We're actually FIRST! :punk: And set up chairs for the hours of waiting.

IMG_0500.jpg

First of us in line (closetmikafan is taking most of the pics - thanks hon!)
