It is my message from the stage: we are a group of weird people, but we are ok like this, and for a few hours we can forget everything. I: And you, have you forgotten the bullies of your childhood? Have you forgiven them? M: Yes. I don't feel anger anymore. Or better, I only feel it sometimes. I: What made you angry, back then? M: Kids can be cruel, much more than adults. They used to make fun of me for my sexuality, even before I myself started undestanding something of it. And then there was a teacher that used to massacre me. Psychological tortures, on the edge of physical violence. When my father realized it, he went to the school and made a big fuss: they said I was a liar, I got expelled. I: When did it start to get better? M: The first time I got on a stage. A sudden revelation: this is the place where weird people like me stand, and they are all happy. I got a lump in my throat when Mika said about his partner, "I love him very much." That's so beautiful. I admire Mika for taking his time, to come out, only when he was ready and had discussed it with the people involved in his, and his partner's life. I never, for a minute thought he did it as a publicity stunt. If it had been in 2007 when he was all over the press, maybe it would have been, but he came out when the hype was over, and most people already guessed he was gay. Like he said himself, it was in some of his songs and he never actually denied it, as he would have done if he was straight. He's right about X Factor UK. They take a quirky singer and make them more generic. It doesn't work. There's a girl called Abby who'd be great in Mika's team, but after her first great performance of a Bon Jovi song (which she made her own) at the piano they made her sing the Kylie song, Can't Get You Out Of My Head, whilst prancing around and last Saturday, Moon River. I really do love that hat and the whole aesthetic of that outfit. That house is beautiful. Love the floors. And I love the touches from home with the tapestry that used to be over his bed. Has he actually bought the house? What was this translation about a landlord and the bathroom? I didn't understand that.
