En une session de The Voice 3 , samedi dernier sur TF1, et une soirée chic et raffinée, le dîner donné à Paris pour l’ouverture de la nouvelle bo, il a détrôné Juju et Harry dans mon cœur volatile de fashion victime.

Pendant le show de TF1, on a adoré ses baskets en python Christian Louboutin et son costume bleu électrique en velours signé Moschino.

Derrière ce choix osé, se cache la maman de Mika, sa styliste.

Trop mimi. A la soirée Valentino, il était forcément en Valentino, costume bleu nuit cintré.

Parfait, rien à dire. On vote pour Mika le magnifique.

Du moins le temps d'une saison.

PART 1:

Mika bonjour!

Bonjour.

 

Alors, c'est parti pour une première aventure dans The Voice, Mika?

Je suis ravi. C'est ma première participation et on y va à fond maintenant. C'est drôle parce que je me suis préparé pendant quelques mois. Ils m'ont demandé de le faire, et bien sûr j'étais excité mais en même temps j'avais peur. C'est quelque chose de nouveau! Et aussi je dois tout faire en français. C'est la première fois que je suis sur un plateau télé, et je dois parler tellement en français et m'exprimer aussi musicalement. C'est drôle parce que généralement j'ai jamais travaillé en studio seulement en français. Bien sûr que je chante en français, mais toujours j'étais entouré par des Anglais ou des Américains, et c'était principalement en anglais. Alors c'est un truc complètement nouveau pour moi. Même le vocabulaire, parler avec toute cette terminologie de la musique. Je pensais que ça allait être beaucoup plus dur, mais la réalité c'est que quand je me mets dedans, je sais pas, je me perds, je m'amuse, je dis ce que je pense. Je calcule pas trop, je réagis. Et aussi je m'amuse beaucoup avec les autres coachs, parce que je les taquine à fond. Et eux, ils essayent mais je me laisse pas faire! Peut-être je suis le nouveau, mais je vais pas me laisser faire!

 

PART 2:

Est-ce que tu as eu des doutes, des hésitations, avant de t'embarquer dans cette émission?

Non, ça m'a pas fait hésiter, c'était juste que je les (leur!) ai demandé en fait, je les (leur) ai dit " c'est un immense compliment mais est-ce que je peux parler à ma manière ou... je vais faire des fautes, est-ce que ça va? est-ce que je peux parler à ma manière, est-ce que je peux dire complètement ce que je pense?" Ils ont dit oui. Et j'ai eu confiance dans leur réponse et je me suis mis à fond, et je suis vraiment content que je l'ai fait parce que c'est une belle expérience.

 

D'ailleurs on a pu remarquer que tu étais assez bavard!

Oh je parle trop, ils sont toujours en train de me dire "allez, dépêche, ta gueule!" (rires) En fait Jenifer elle est un peu comme... elle nous garde un peu tous en ligne, elle nous garde tous en ordre. C'est quand elle dit "allez ça suffit", on l'écoute, je sais pas pourquoi. Elle est petite, mais elle est forte!

 

PART 3:

Tu connaissais déjà personnellement Jenifer, Garou, Florent?

J'avais rencontré une fois Jenifer, et aussi Garou, on n'a pas passé beaucoup de temps ensemble. Et Florent Pagny c'est une découverte, c'est une découverte dans plusieurs sens! En fait, lui, c'est vraiment celui qui... je sais jamais ce qu'il va dire en fait. J'ai jamais... sur le plateau il me fait toujours un peu peur. Parce que je sais jamais si... il est un peu... il est complètement libre. Il calcule pas aussi. Il est un peu "............" comme on dit en anglais. Alors il faut se méfier de lui, parce qu'il est très malin. Très très malin. Il n'a pas peur d'être un peu méchant si il veut vraiment avoir quelque chose devant moi. Par exemple si il y a un chanteur, et on est les deux en train de se battre pour ce chanteur, il faut vraiment se méfier de lui, parce qu'il est fort.

 

Tu as été justement étonné par le niveau des talents?

J'ai été étonné par le niveau des talents qui sont jeunes. En fait, souvent je me suis retourné parce que j'entendais des grandes voix, avec beaucoup de timbre et beaucoup d'émotion. Pas des voix parfaites, mais des voix très très très intéressantes. Et je me retournais et je trouvais que c'étaient des gosses de 17 ans, 18 ans. Et ça m'a étonné. Alors en fait cette année, je pense que le talent, particulièrement les talents qui ont entre l'âge de 17 et 20, ils sont vraiment forts, beaucoup plus soul, beaucoup plus folk. Très pop, mais de la pop intéressante, qui pour moi, c'est ce que j'adore, faire de la pop alternative en même temps, je suis complètement à l'aise dans ce genre.

 

PART 4:

Est-ce que le public t'influence lors des sélections à l'aveugle?

Non, je suis pas du tout influencé par le public et en fait je les oublie complètement même quand je suis sur le plateau. Par exemple il y a une fan qui est rentrée pendant un des tournages, et elle était en train de me faire des petits signes, et j'ai pas du tout écouté parce que ça me sert à rien en fait! Moi je dois complètement croire... le but de ce jeu et le concept c'est complètement avec le fait qu'on peut pas les "entendre" (sic, he meant "voir" I guess), pourquoi est-ce que je vais tricher. C'est comme si j'étais en train de jouer aux cartes avec ma grand-mère, c'est pas du tout amusant parce qu'elle triche toujours, alors je joue jamais aux cartes avec elle. En fait elle triche et elle gagne! (rires) Malheureusement avec ma grand-mère, quand elle perd, c'est misérable, alors il vaut mieux qu'elle gagne!

Even the vocabulary, I have to talk with this music terminology... I thought it would be much harder, but the truth is that when I'm getting into it, I don't know, I'm loosing myself, I'm having fun, I'm telling what I think. It's not calculated, I'm simply reacting. And I also have a lot of fun with the other coaches because I'm teasing them a lot! They try to tease me too, but I'm not passive. I'm maybe the newbie, but I will not be passive!

 

PART 2:

Did you have doubts, were you hesitating before starting this adventure?

No, I was not hesitating, I simply asked them, I told them "it's a big compliment but can I talk like myself or... I will make mistakes is it ok? Can I talk as I usually do? Can I say exactly what I'm thinking?". They answered Yes. And I trusted their answer and I got totally involved. I'm really glad I did it because it's a beautifull experience.

 

Moreover, we could notice that you are quite talkative!

Oh, I'm talking too much, they always tell me "go on, hurry up, shut up!" (laughs). Actually Jenifer is a little as... she keeps all of us in line, in order. When she says "ok, it's enough", we listen to her, I don't know why. She is short but strong!

 

PART 3:

Did you already know Jenifer, Garou and Florent personally?

I had already met Jenifer once, and Garou also. We didn't spend much time together. And Florent Pagny, he is a "discovery", with different meanings: Actually he is really the one who... I actually never know what he will say. On set he always frightens me a bit, because I never know if... He is a bit... He is totally free. It's not calculated with him also. He is a bit "wildcard ", as we say in English. So you can't trust him so much because he is very clever. Very very clever. He is not afraid to be a bit mean if he really wants to have something before me. For example if there is a singer we are both fighting for, I really must distrust him because he is very good.

 

Were you surprised by the level of the contestants?

I was surprised by the level of the young contestants. I often turned around because I was hearing great voices, with a lot of timbre and emotion. Not perfect voices, but very very very interesting voices. And I was turning around and founding that they were kids of 17, 18 years old. And that surpised me. So this year, I think that the contestants, especially the ones between the age of 17 and 20, are really good, much more sould, much more folk. Very pop, but an interesting pop. And that's what I love, making alternative pop at the same time, I feel totally at ease in this genre.

 

PART 4:

Does the audience influence you during the blind auditions?

No, I'm not at all influenced by it. I even totally forget them when I'm on set. For example there was a fan who came during one of the recordings, and she was doing me signs. I didn't listen to her at all because it's not at all usefull for me! I must fully believe... the goal of this game, the concept is totally in the fact that we can't "hear" (I guess he meant "see" here!) them, why should I cheat? It's as if I was playing cards with my grandmother. It's not funny at all because she is always cheatting, so I never play with her. She cheats and she wins! (laughs) Unfortunately with my grandmother, when she looses, it's pitiful, so it's better that she wins!

Oh god, now I have a horrible feeling because I went to see only _one_ recording :shocked::aah: My face totally tells what I think (I'm very sensitive to sounds/different voices and my face definitely tells if I like or don't like someone). What if he saw my face and thought I was trying to give him signs?? Omg, lol, I really hope not! And we were quite far away from him, I don't think he could even see anyone's face that clearly, just a big group of people... It would never even come to my mind he could let the audience influence his choices. I would take it as an insult if he thought something like that about me. Maybe someone was giving him signs with hands or something (thumbs up etc).

 

Totally agree with him that the level is very good. I was really surprised, so many good singers were out already during the auditions!

- The Voice episode 2 (blind auditions) at 8:50PM (TF1). Pre-recorded also.

 

Mika will also be in Le Grand Journal (channel Canal Plus) this week, but we don't know which day yet. This time it will be live and I hope he will sing :wub2: (there is not places left to attend the show unfortunately :aah:)
