I can't be arsed to go through the entire thread but did anyone post the article (and album review) yet?

Otherwise I'll scan it.

Please do, I think we've just been being silly here as usual ... no real news or any developments :teehee:

Thanks for posting a pic of the poster. Have been reading thru this thread with marginal interest.

It doesn't matter to me what sexual orientation Mika is. Nor should it.

We would not have a thread if Mika said he was really an Africaan!!!! It's just something one should accept as is, like the colour of one's skin.

Mika is a beautiful human being who makes astounding music and puts on a great theatrical show.

I suppose it is because the news is new. It was like this when Freddie was discovered to be gay/bi.

Look at how his legend is looked back on. One of the most flamboyant showmen there ever was. I hope Mika attains this level, but not in the way his life is ever cut short.

MIKA SHOULD BE AROUND FOR A L-O-N-G TIME YET.

Ouch. The translation of that cd review is pretty bad. I wish I would have been able to check that before it went to print :(

Hey don't beat yourself up over it.

The fact that your magazine is bilingual is great in itself. :thumb_yello:

(Otherwise us poor Dutchies would have to translate the entire article. :teehee: )

Thanks Diana for posting this article!

I not only love Mika's music, art, songwriting & performances I am really liking his kindness & outlook on life.

I really like the way Mika expressed himself here.

He said some things that i feel but I couldn't have expressed myself as well.

Kudos Mika! :thumb_yello:

Mika is correct there is more than one way to be a role model.

Labels are a bad way!

I did wonder from what he was saying, though, whether the term 'anthrosexual' might better describe him... just a thought :dunno:

Or, I would suggest, a more popular term: 'pansexual'.

I don't agree that having labels is a bad way to be a role model. Labels work well for some people and not for others and I wouldn't classify one as superior to the other except on an individual basis. I do, however, think it's good to have a variety of role models because having one's experiences represented in the media is validating even if it's under the guise of 'celebrities' and public figures.

Hence my lyrics to my song

"Labels are crap

And they list what's on food jars

They're sometimes a lie some of the time

People think things of me

But darling look closer

Take off your specs

And see who I realy am"
