I can't make out what the words are before the "bye bye sweet banana" part, at first I thought it could actually be in English but there was another clip shared where French is definitely heard. 

 

And with Mika I guess we can never be sure of song lyrics until an official release, it might not even be bananas! 😆

 

My mind can't help changing the words though. I go from "sweet banana" to "cheeky banana" then to "risky banana"! 

 

Please Mika, we need the full song!

Changed it. I hear "bye bye sweetie banana". And I won't start speculating now about what he could mean with that. 🙊  Surely it's about his strict diet, that he can't eat sweet bananas anymore now.  Or well, as you say, it could be something entirely different, instead of banana.  Isn't there some French song about bananas, that he once covered at some festival? What exactly is that song about? Actual Bananas?  I already see people dressing up as bananas for MIka's gigs.

 

Anyway, yes, the rest except the sweet(ie) banana is in French. Can't make out much of the words though. In the beginning it could be something like "surréel" (surreal), and in the chorus it might be "comme c'est bon" (how good it is) and "Je connais ton ???" (I know your ???) ... we definitely need a French speaker to help with this, lol!

Oh! I didn't remember this! Mika's new song sounds vaguely familiar to me, but that's not unusual... anyway it could be because of that snippet, I'm sure I saw it at the time. Do we know what they referred to? I googled banana songs and found one by the Minions and one eurodance song from the 90s, but they both sound different.

No no ! Lio knew very well what she was singing and although she was young, she completely assumed this "naughty metaphor". 

 

 

You must confuse with France Gall who sang "Les Sucettes à l'Anis", written by Serge Gainsbourg, and who she, very young, and very naive, had understood the double meaning only well after. 🙈😅😂

I am in love with that song it gets me totally hyper like I'm a teen at a disco and I had kids listen to it and they were dancing like crazy and the youngest one who always falls asleep in the car when I drive back from the beach did not fall asleep. This song is like drug, a total happy crazy earworm

I just can't get enough of the snipet on repeat since I first heard it and it was love at first sight. When real life bugs me all I have to do is turn it on and I am as careless and I feel as happy as a mermaid in the ocean and I love life

I was worried about songs in French but this is so totally Mikaish

It's like Mika said he would just write his songs in French without worrying about them being "perfect" but rather genuine and this one fills me up with joy from my jimmy to my toes

The music is so fluid and bouncy and the lyrics are easy to sing along and funny and naughty and I love Mika's sweet banana  Awesome title choice Mika
