Thought this one might be for any musos on the board...singer-songwriter Nerina Pallot is inviting musicians to open her set in London's ICA venue in October - people have do covers of her tracks on Youtube to enter the competition. If anyone's interested go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cY3ArH2bh4E where she explains it all. What's funny about this is actually some of the cover versions. There are some real weird ones on there!

I discovered her through my mom, and since then I haven't gone a day without listening to Pop-Up. My favorite songs of hers are Amour Du Sol, Ce Jeu, & A Cause Des Garçons. Anyone else like Yelle?

There are bits and pieces about Erik supporting MIKA but not an actual thread about the guy himself...so here is one! For those that have done the MIKA UK part of the tour will have seen this man and his merry men. I am kinda biased as I heard about Erik a while ago and then saw him at Itunes with MIKA and loved him ever since..even tho he is only 21! lol He is so talented and in IMHO will go far but will be hard work as seems the press aren't keen but look what happened to MIKA you just have to push on and show what you are made of! Basic info... Erik Hassle, born August 26, 1988 in Katrineholm in Sweden, is a Swedish singer and composer. He is based in London. …

(If this thread exists, sorry loves. I searched) Yes, this is happening to me again. I have discovered a band that was around before I was born, kind of fallen in love with them and now am obsessing *Guns N' Roses style* Extreme was touring up until last year. Their lead guitarist Nuno Bettencourt went solo (not sure if that's permanent) Yes, I have a thing for guitarists...This is a fact of my existence BUT Nuno's got a little somethin somethin extra. Uh, okay back to the band. I have to admit that my only impression of them up until a few weeks ago had always just been tagged to that ballad of ballads "More Than Words." But after exploring them a b…

Some of you may know that I have been waiting to see No Doubt since February. Since then, I began working on four different sewings that I made for them and was planning all along to give them to Gwen sometime during one of my shows. Well, last night it all came together and I had the most amazing experience! I have pictures and a report below! My gifts: No Doubt - Kansas City - July 6, 2009 Kenton, Evan, and I arrived at the venue around 5:05pm. We went to the tour club line-up and there were about 5-15 people there already. I spotted Desiree and her brother Von and went up to say hi. Adam and Emily were also there, so all of us ended up sitting un…

Like I just said, Kingston is a new New Zealand band, still unsigned. I saw these guys live several weeks ago and I really enjoyed their shows. They’re a rock/pop band and so not much like Mika at all, but still, they’re enjoyable. Their single ‘Good Good Feeling’ did well in the New Zealand Charts And their second single ‘Round We Go’ isn’t as good but has a very cool, mika-esque video that I’m sure some of you will enjoy They’re playing in LA, New York, Frankfurt, Berlin and Tokyo in the next few weeks. All the links to itunes, myspace, facebook etc are on their official site http://www.kingstonlovesyou.com

One of the best indie rock bands in music today, i'm a big big fan of them and have been for sometime now. Their music is a combo between rock, electronic music and psychedelia. Their new album is about to be released in few months and i can't wait, it's going to be like an homage to bands from the 70's and to psychedelic music, while haveing the Kasabia ntouch in it. So if you a fan, this is the place to talk about the music and the band.

Michael McIntyre NEEDS his own thread; he's the funniest person in the world. Ever. If you don't know him, Michael McIntyre is a British stand-up comedian. He is well-known for appearing at many British stand-up comedy events, and for several roles on television stand-up programmes.
