THE DEADLINE WAS NOT MET BY ABOUT HALF OF YOU...SOOOOOOOOO GET THOSE LETTERS, PICS ETC IN ASAP PLEASE Hi everyone! ITS OFFICIAL, THEIR MANAGEMENT IS SO FREAKIN AWESOME... Hi Melanie, I just spoke to the band’s management, and they’d like to invite you and some of the organizers of the fansite (if possible) to a show where you can meet the band and hand-deliver your gift! Once we confirm what cities the band will be in, we’ll see if there’s a show that would be convenient for you. Thanks again, Rosie So, we're doing this project for the boys of The Midway State who opened up for Mika on his North American Tour. Speaking for MYSELF, I can honestly say th…

Hi! There's a new group that's making its first album in Quebec.... it's so good, that they sold out every CDs they made in a week or so!! In this album, they have taken a couple of 80's song and "jazzed" it up... Here is the english resume on their myspace (it will be easier for me ! ) This acoustic trio based in Quebec city plays standards of the gipsy jazz repertoire (à la Django Reinhardt) as well as their arrangements of hits of the 80'. Their young history as a band has already seen them opening for the french guitarist Patrick Saussois and playing in two international music festivals, as well as playing live on several radio stations. They will perf…

Ok! So I was never a massive Neil Diamond fan, just knew a few songs, the usual thing, but I went to his concert a couple of days ago......and it was FANTASTIC!! Ir eally, really enjoyed it! He was great, so happy to be there, so "into" it, he gave a great performance, and at a couple of points I actually got goosebums...It was really good, so I thought I'd make him his own thread here to see if there are any Neil fans out there . Seriously, when the whole O2 was singing along to "Sweeeet Caroliiiiiiiiiiiiine", it was epic!! Anyway here is the thread, let's see if anyone else wants to write stuff about him:naughty:.

Glued to the BBC coverage of Glastonbury 08. Absolutely loved The Editors and The Fratellis were pretty cool too. Every year since I was at school (which was a very long time ago )I have said I am going to go and haven't ever made it, so I have promised myself that next year is a definite. Although all those years ago I never dreamed my first Glastonbury would be with my hubby and kids still they are little rocksters and will love it!

So as some of you Queeniacs may know, I went to Brian May's book signing today for his book Bang! The Complete History of the Universe. The conversation went something like this: Brian: *reads post-it on book with my name on it* "Nono" (I just liked the way he said it haha) Me: *stares at him in awww as he signs my book* "This may sound cheesy, but you're my hero:wub2:" Brian: "Aww that's not cheesy. Thank you very much." *puts hand on mine* Me: "Well it's sort of random when you're talking to someone and all of a sudden you're like 'You're my hero!' " *laughs* Brian: *hands book back over to me* Me: "Do you mind if ---" Brian: "Would you like a picture?"…
